GARRISON, KENTUCKY: Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) has mocked GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley by calling her a “brunette Liz Cheney” and doubting her conservative credentials after Haley attacked her Republican opponent, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, for hosting Massie on the campaign trail over the weekend.

Massie wrote on X (formerly Twitter), on Monday morning, saying, "She hates free speech as much as she loves war and foreign aid."

Just one day after Massie accompanied DeSantis in Iowa, Haley attacked him during a campaign rally on Sunday, according to The Hill.

“You can’t be pro-Israel and bring the most anti-Israel Republican into this state, who voted against fighting antisemitism on college campuses,” Haley said of Massie. “And that’s who he brought to your state.”

What did Nikki Haley say during her speech ?

Haley reiterated her criticism of DeSantis and Massie during a Monday visit in Iowa, labeling the latter as "the most anti-Israel Republican there is."

The former Governor of South Carolina noted, “(Massie) voted with the Squad against calling out antisemitism on college campuses.”

She continued, “Voted with the Squad against hitting the presidents that were allowing it to happen … That’s who he brought to Iowa, so let (DeSantis) answer for that.”

Representative Massie, the only House Republican who voted against an antisemitism resolution last week, took issue with the resolution's language that equated anti-Zionism with antisemitism.

This resolution was largely prompted by reports of an uptick in antisemitic incidents in the U.S. after Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7.

Ron DeSantis, who was endorsed by Representative Massie, defended his appearance with the congressman.

DeSantis’s campaign press secretary Bryan Griffin told The Associated Press, “Ron DeSantis has been the clearest, most consistent pro-Israel candidate in the race. He has unequivocally supported Israel in exterminating Hamas.”

Rep. Thomas Massie became the second Republican in the House to endorse Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Haley and DeSantis are currently in competition for the Republican presidential nomination, while Trump is maintaining a strong lead in all polls, making him the clear front-runner.

The GOP field's first test is the Iowa caucuses scheduled for January 15th, 2024.

Internet pours in the plaudits for Rep. Massie for his tweet on Monday

Internet commended Rep. Massie for speaking up about Nikki Haley's war-mongering and authoritarian ways.

One X user asked: "Who's her base? I keep hearing it but where are they?"

Another user wrote: "This is a fact. She wants no online privacy."

Another user said: "She likes surveillance too."

One user tweeted: "Haley is just a first generation warmonger though. She lacks the distinguished pedigree."

Another X user remarked: "The GOP has a neocon problem"

Finally, this user quipped: "I wouldn't trust Nikki Haley to be the principal of my kid's school, much less POTUS. She sucks."
