Internet speculates as TABC investigates Luke Bryan’s bar amid allegation of overserving to Riley Strain
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: College student Riley Strain, who hasn’t been found after leaving Luke Bryan’s Nashville bar, may have been overserved.
Now, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) has begun an investigation at Luke Bryan’s Broadway bar. The commission is trying to find out if the bar had any legal obligations to protect customers who were overly intoxicated.
The 22-year-old was captured on a nearby surveillance camera, where he seemed to be struggling to walk straight and also fell on the ground. As per reports, Strain was asked to leave Luke's 32BRIDGE on Friday night, March 8, and since then he’s been reported missing.
TABC begins investigation
“There are no specific rules or statutes that governs escorting out intoxicated patrons from their businesses or providing assistance in getting someone home,” TABC Communications Director Aaron Rummage’s statement read.
He also mentioned the legality the Bar has to face if it is found that Strain was overserved.
“However, state law prohibits serving alcoholic beverages to someone who is visibly intoxicated. A violation is a class A misdemeanor. The TABC has opened an investigation into this matter to see if any violations have occurred,” it said.

Internet blames bar and friends for Riley going missing
Internet reacted to the reports of the bar overserving alcohol, as TABC is now officially investigating the case.
"I just read he was kicked out and one of his friends wanted to go with him and the bartender or bouncer wouldn’t allow it☹️ Is that true?" an X user wrote.
The second wrote, "May be the only person thinking this, but going to ask anyway? Is it to far fetched to think that he could be injured here, versus heavily intoxicated. This is bizarre to me."
"Do you think instead of drunk maybe drugged? Something very wrong," another speculated.
One user held the bar responsible, "Very sad. The bar should be held responsible for over serving him and throwing him out instead of getting him some help- ambulance, law enforcement… of course the the bar would get caught for over serving him. Tragic."
