NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene launched an attack against President Joe Biden on X (formerly Twitter) over his announcement of supplying aid to Gaza during the State of the Union address of March 7.

The Georgia representative questioned the President's concern for the safety of US troops, recalling the fallout of their withdrawal from Afghanistan back in 2021. However, she was slammed by netizens, who reminded her that the blame for the past fell on former President Donald Trump, whom she endorses in the upcoming election.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Taking to the social media platform on March 8, Greene shared a clip from President Biden's SOTU speech where he says, "Tonight I'm directing the US military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the coast of Gaza that can receive large shipments - canned food, water, medicine, and temporary shelters."

"No US boots will be on the ground," he clarifies. "This temporary pier would enable a massive increase in the amount of humanitarian assistance getting into Gaza every day."

The Congresswoman wrote in her post, "After the failed withdrawal of Afghanistan where 13 American soldiers were killed, Joe Biden is putting American troops on the ground in a WAR ZONE to build a port for the aid and comfort of Hamas."

"How can Joe Biden claim he cares about our troops or is a friend of Israel?" she added.

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's post

Netizens slammed Green's comments and held Trump responsible for the losses in Afghanistan, as the following tweets demonstrate.

"Your guy called them suckers and losers. I guess that is why his terrible Afghanistan 'deal' failed so miserably- Trump owns this one no matter how many times you try to spin it," wrote a user.

"Trump set 5000 Taliban terrorists free then agreed to pull out of Afghanistan. Any failures were Trump's doing, Biden just got us out of a 20 year war," stated another.

"Dear MTG, The Afghanistan withdrawal was all Trump's plan. He started it and it was already in progress before those soldiers were killed. Say his name," heckled a third.

"Maybe Trump shouldn’t have withheld information about the withdrawal from Biden’s transition team then. Oh wait. Trump had zero plan in place. You’re a disingenuous hack. 🤦‍" tweeted a fourth.

"NONE of that is true! Humanitarian aid for the millions of starving people trapped in Gaza. No US troops in harms way!!" pointed out a fifth.

Another user said, "Do you ever stop complaining?"
