SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Tatyana Remley, a once-glamorous figure in the equestrian world, has been sentenced to three years and eight months in a California jail after confessing to orchestrating a $2 million contract on her estranged husband Mark Remley's life.

The couple's marriage, which began in 2011, had already resulted in divorce filings before gaining notoriety with the ill-fated 'Valitar' show. The failed plot was unraveled in a sting operation by undercover agents in San Diego, leading to her arrest.

Tatyana Remley's sinister plan unravels in a sting operation

Remley, aspiring to inherit a substantial fortune, brought three firearms and an undisclosed cash deposit to execute the murder of Remley who she had left "acting like a scared puppy." The scheme, however, crumbled when she unwittingly solicited undercover agents, believing them to be contract killers.

The couple's tumultuous relationship was marked by failed business ventures, separations, and a notorious equestrian circus show, 'Valitar,' at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in 2012.

Despite being hailed as a Cirque de Soleil-inspired spectacle, the show quickly faced bankruptcy after just five performances out of the planned 45.

Tumultuous path of Tatyana Remley and Mark Remley's $26 million inheritance

Tatyana and her husband, Remley beneficiaries of a $26 million inheritance from his parents, navigated through a series of unsuccessful business ventures and a cycle of separations and reconciliations. Their turbulent journey ultimately culminated in a definitive split in May of the previous year.

Former business partner Erik Martonovich described Remley as being under Tatyana's control, portraying him as "a sniveling scared puppy, and I never saw Mark say no to her." As their relationship crumbled, Tatyana's actions took a sinister turn.

The arrest occurred on July 5, with Tatyana found in possession of three firearms at their burning home. In her divorce filing, she made accusations against her husband, alleging verbal and physical abuse, drug abuse, and even claiming he stood by as she was assaulted at gunpoint, as per Daily Mail.

These claims, however, were met with skepticism, as detectives revealed that Tatyana had been plotting her husband's murder. She provided "detailed information on how she wanted her husband killed and his body disposed of," to the detectives leading to her arrest at a Starbucks in Solana Beach on August 2.

Remley's dark spiral continued as she faced charges not only for solicitation to commit murder but also for possessing a loaded and concealed firearm not registered to her. While a second gun-related charge was dropped, the equestrian's fall from grace culminated in her recent sentencing.

Who is Tatyana Remley?

Described as the 'Valitar' show's driving force, Tatyana projected an image of a glamorous Russian equestrian, despite her lackluster riding skills. Nevertheless, she was a mother of two hailing from Bend, Oregon, who concluded her formal education at the fourth-grade level.

The failed impresario's insistence on appearing in the show, coupled with a series of failed engagements with wealthy men, painted a picture of a woman more focused on appearance than substance.

Moreover, Tatyana found herself entangled in a custody battle for her son, whom she shared with Kenneth Woolcott, a multi-millionaire biotech tycoon. The separation from Woolcott occurred in 2004, merely 11 months into their marriage.
