Just prior to his scheduled match in Puerto Rico, Paul found himself involved in an awkward confrontation with Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat in a parking lot in San Juan.

Goyat, who sports an 18-4-2 record, immediately begins aggressively questioning Paul in an Indian language. Paul responds by saying "So you can't handle a little s**t talk? Did I hurt your feelings?"

As Goyat denies being affected, Paul directs expletives at him, repeatedly shouting "F**k you, brother." Despite Serrano's efforts to calm the situation, Paul pushes Goyat in the chest, prompting Goyat to retaliate by grabbing Paul by the back of the head. The altercation comes to a halt when an unidentified member of Paul's team intervenes, separating the two.
