SILT, COLORADO: Republican lawmaker Lauren Boebert accused Hollywood stars Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds as the reason for switching her congressional district, Meidas Touch reports.

Talking on Steve Bannon's 'War Room' podcast on December 29, the Colorado Congresswoman pointed the finger at the Hollywood stars, blaming them for raising money to fund her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch.

"They do not have policies they are running on (in CO-3); they are simply running against Lauren Boebert, she said.

"It's not just Aspen that the money is coming from, it's coming from Hollywood. When you have Barbra Streisand donating to the Democrat when you have Ryan Reynolds donating to the Democrat, it shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress," Boebert added, naming the 'Deadpool' star and the Grammy winner.

On December 27, Boebert announced her candidacy for the 2024 Republican nomination and declared that she would swap from her current 3rd congressional district to 4th district in the upcoming elections, considering it the "right move."

Lauren Boebert claims 'Hollywood elites' trying to buy 3rd congressional district

A strong supporter of former President and leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump for the 2024 election, Boebert attributed her declining popularity and district switch to Hollywood-funded contributions flowing to her rival.

"We have to shut down the Hollywood elites who are trying to buy my current district. There has been close to $10 million poured into this district to buy this seat," the Congresswoman argued.

"Colorado's 3rd district is not for sale. But with my announcement running in the 4th district, that shut down the dark money that was flowing into our district," she claimed.

She further claimed that the money flow was only because of her presence in the 3rd district and that Hollywood would stop their contributions to Frisch in her absence.

This is not the first time Boebert has accused Streisand and Reynolds of helping her Democratic rival.

In November, she singled them out in an X post claiming Frisch has "plenty of funding from Soros's dark money and even Hollywood liberals like Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds."

Boebert defeated Frisch in 2022 with a thin margin of only 546 votes, The Hill reports. Her new district is among the most conservative in Colorado, giving her a better chance at winning.

Internet mocks Lauren Boebert for blaming Hollywood

Internet users ridiculed the lawmaker for blaming Hollywood for her low chances of winning in the 3rd district.

Many also slammed her for not taking responsibility for her declining popularity and instead switching to a more conservative community.

One user remarked, "She’s embarrassing TO ANY DISTRICT.'

Another user shared a meme and added, "How ridiculous!"

"Blame everyone but take no responsibility for her-own self. That’s the MAGA way!" said a third user.

While another one wrote, "Seriously MAGA are the the biggest bunch of cry babies, snowflakes and whiners out there."

A fifth user remarked, "Dang. If Barbara Streisand scares her away, are we sure she has the courage to tackle the challenges facing an entire nation? lol."

"Does anyone know how to send Barbara Streisand and Ryan Reynolds a gift basket?" asked one user.

Another one noted, "So instead of explaining her policies that will make voters lives better, she focuses on grievances blame and culture war issues like 'Hollywood elites' To be honest I don't think she'll win her primary in the new district either.
