NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Amid the surfacing of new emails related to Jeffrey Epstein, in the latest episode of ‘The Daily Show’, host Josh Johnson slammed conservative commentator Megyn Kelly’s shocking statements regarding the disgraced financier.

Johnson framed Kelly's argument as deeply troubling while also highlighting other revelations from the newly surfaced emails.

Megyn Kelly was seen arguing on her podcast on Thursday, November 13, that Jeffrey Epstein was “not a pedophile” because “he liked 15-year-old girls. I’m just giving you facts that he wasn’t into, like, eight-year-olds.”

Johnson, who aired the clip on 'The Daily Show', was seriously disturbed by Kelly’s attempt to downplay the severity of the crimes.

“How the hell was Megyn Kelly ever an attorney?” Johnson asked, before adding, “Your honor, my client only engaged in diet pedophilia."

Johnson told Kelly, “Ma’am, everyone knows there’s a big difference between a 15-year-old and a five-year-old. But everyone also knows there is never a good reason to be talking about that difference.”

Josh Johnson showed viewers an email where Jeffrey Epstein described an incident where Donald Trump was so distracted by the young women at his home that he crashed nose-first into a glass door.

The comedian also showed the emails where Epstein wrote that Trump was “evil,” a “maniac,” and someone with signs of “early dementia.”

“This is one of the many reasons being friends with a pedophile is a lose-lose situation,” Johnson said. “Because as a character witness, if they’re like, ‘This guy’s disgusting and I’m a pedophile,’ that’s bad. But on the flip side, if they’re like, ‘Yeah, I know him, he’s a pretty good hang,’ that’s also horrible.”

“It’s why you should choose your friends wisely,” Johnson concluded.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a collection of damning emails on Wednesday, November 12, many sent directly from Jeffrey Epstein. One of them referred to Trump as the “dog that hasn’t barked,” and in another, Epstein apparently alleged that Trump spent hours with one of Epstein’s victims.

In turn, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee on the same day released more than 20,000 pages of records from Epstein’s estate, declaring, “You deserve the full truth.”

The sudden release followed accusations from the White House and GOP lawmakers that Democrats had selectively leaked material to slander the president.
