SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: 'The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening predicted on Saturday, July 26, that children across the United States would liberate their Republican parents from the "cult of MAGA," adding that this would happen by deleting Fox News.

The show’s creator made this prediction during Comic-Con while discussing future content for the award-winning series and how it could become a reality.

During the event on Saturday, July 26, Matt Groening discussed 'The Simpsons’ upcoming Season 37 and said, "I honestly thought 36 was where we were going to end it."

However, he added, "No, there’s no end in sight. We’re going to keep going. We’re going to go until somebody dies."

"When you-know-who dies, 'The Simpsons' predicts that there will be dancing in the streets. Except President Vance will ban dancing," he said.

During the Comic-Con event, Groening also talked about the show’s history of predicting future events, a trend that internet users have pointed out for years.

Groening jokingly said, "We are time travelers," as he went on to predict some upcoming events.

"The Simpsons predicts Elon Musk will be the first man to land on Mars. Amazingly, he will crash land on Mars. But he will radio back that he is marooned there forever. And most emotionally of all, he will be able to hear the cheering all the way," Groening said. He added, "America will return the Statue of Liberty to France and North America remembers what the word Liberty means."

Moreover, he mentioned, "The Simpsons predicts kids across America will liberate their Republican parents from the cult of MAGA. And here’s how you do it. Grab the TV remote, go to menu, go to controls, vertical controls, look for channel list, and delete Fox News."

Groening was joined on the panel by executive producers Matt Selman and Mike Price, director Matt Faughnan, and consulting producer/director David Silverman.

Internet divided on Matt Groening's prediction

A person stated, "Lol, kids are seeing through your bull***t and are actually to the right of their Millennial parents!" whereas one mentioned, "My kids are more MAGA than me. Good luck with that losers."
