'The View's Ana Navarro adds shocking spin to OJ Simpson's infamous line for Trump amid hush money trial
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: One of the co-hosts of 'The View' drew a comparison between Donald Trump’s hush money trial and the murder trial of OJ Simpson on Friday, May 10, with a twist on the infamous line, "If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit."
On the episode, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin were debating on whether the former president would go to jail as a result of one of his four court cases currently underway.

This came after Hostin attended Trump's trial on Thursday and shared her thoughts with her fellow co-hosts.

During the show, the hosts deliberated on whether the testimony of Stormy Daniels and the anticipated statements from Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen would suffice to convict a former president for the first time.

Trump is accused of falsifying business records to conceal a $130,000 hush money payment made to Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election to silence her about their alleged affair.
"I really think that he will be convicted. There are 32 counts; he’ll be convicted of some of them if not all of them. I do believe that he will appeal the conviction," said Hostin.

She added, "I think it will matter that he was convicted. And I think he won’t serve four years in prison, but I can’t imagine that he gets off with no jail time. I think that would send the wrong message."
Meanwhile, Navarro remarked, "In my eyes, this has been absolutely proven, and I think part of the stupidity of Trump and his lawyers is denying this affair — which I think anybody and everybody with a brain knows happened, and that’s why they’re having to go into such salacious details."
"There’s a lot of people who we all thought were guilty that didn’t end up going to jail, right?" asked Navarro, adding, "A lot of people felt that way about OJ Simpson, who was also a powerful, rich celebrity."
She added, "So, I mean, I guess this time it’s, if the condom don’t fit, then you must acquit," referring to Simpson’s murder trial, in which the NFL star's defense argued that if the evidence didn't align with the prosecution's case, then the jury "must acquit."
The late football player was acquitted in a highly publicized and controversial trial concerning the murders of his former wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ron Goldman.
During her testimony on Tuesday and Thursday, Daniels talked about her sexual encounter with Trump, which dates back to 2006, in great detail. She even noted that they had sex in the missionary position and that Trump didn’t use a condom, as per The Guardian.
Internet reacts to Ana Navarro's sordid twist on OJ Simpson's infamous line for Donald Trump
One viewer said, "Ms. Ana for the WIN," and another shared, "They were unhinged for this hahaha."
A person observed, "I agree with Anna. I am skeptical that he will be convicted or serve jail time. I’ve had my faith in our judicial system completely shattered. There simply is no real justice. I always thought our country was better than what it actually is. It took Trump to show me just how impotent our system is."
"I'm with Sara Haines and Ana Navarro I'm not holding my breath of Donald Trump being convicted," shared an individual, and one more added, "Ana is so over talking about this lol. I think she captures the mood of the nation where a lot of this stuff is concerned."
A netizen on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "Ana sums up perfectly again.
