LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On a recent episode of 'The View', co-host Sunny Hostin took a strong stand against Democratic efforts she believes are undermining President Joe Biden’s reelection bid.

Hostin accused her fellow Democrats of “throwing Joe Biden under the bus” amid growing speculation and reports about potential behind-the-scenes efforts to push Biden out of the 2024 presidential race.

Joy Behar and Sara Haines question Joe Biden’s candidacy

During the broadcast, Joy Behar joined Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin in discussing their predictions that Joe Biden might be preparing to withdraw from the race. They pointed to Biden’s recent interview with BET as evidence that he has failed to address concerns about his age and stamina in a way that would reassure voters.

Behar argued that Biden’s interview this week did little to address voter concerns about his age and fitness for the presidency. She suggested that this might lead to Biden stepping aside from the 2024 race.

However, Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg stood firm in their support for the president. “I will say this, it’s his decision to make. It seems to me that these behind the scenes meetings are being leaked intentionally to sort of force his hand,” Hostin asserted. “I think that’s disrespectful to the president, I think that’s disrespectful to the office.”

Hostin’s comments came in the wake of reports that Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had met with Biden and warned him that his departure from the race could jeopardize not just the presidency, but also Democratic control of Congress.

Axios report suggests Joe Biden’s departure is inevitable

According to an Axios report, some of Joe Biden’s top aides and close friends believe that “it’s a matter of when, not if” Biden will drop out of the race. Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) joined the growing list of Democratic lawmakers that have publicly called for a new candidate.

In response, Hostin expressed her frustration that Democrats have not shown enough support for Vice President Kamala Harris, who she believes could step into the role of president if necessary. “He still has my vote because he has Vice President Harris right next to him who is ready to step into the role of president, God forbid something happened to Joe Biden,” she said.

Sara Haines defended the Democrats’ public criticism of Biden, arguing that such a “pressure campaign” might be necessary to address concerns about his candidacy. “The reality is that there is a pressure campaign happening behind the scenes,” Haines said. “They wouldn’t be talking about it publicly if they didn’t think it was necessary," she added.

Sunny Hostin urges Democrats to focus on Republican threats instead of Joe Biden’s candidacy

Co-host Sunny Hostin was resolute in her belief that the focus should shift away from Joe Biden’s potential departure and instead be directed at the Republican agenda.

She called attention to Project 2025, a controversial Republican initiative from the Heritage Foundation that includes sweeping proposals on issues like immigration and reproductive rights. “Project 2025 is the scariest thing you will ever read,” Hostin warned. “It’s like a horror movie for Democrats,” Hostin said.

“Democrats, instead of throwing Joe Biden under the bus need to start talking more about the Republican program,” Hostin insisted. “It’s time to focus on what the other side is planning, not just on tearing down our own candidate.”

Sunny Hostin slammed as 'DEI poster child'

Sunny Hostin’s recent comments on 'The View' defending President Joe Biden from internal Democratic criticism have sparked a wave of negative reactions online.

One user wrote, "All Sunny Hostin is worried about is they won't pick Kamila Harris to replace him, Everything is about race to Sunny. She always plays the race card, I heard her say over and over, black women won't stand for not putting Harris because she's black. Maybe they should nominate someone who has the best chance of winning. I think most black women would go for that."

Another user commented, "Sunny Hostin is a lowlife."

One user added, "Poor Sunny... she didn't get the memo...."

Another user said, "Sunny Hostin...The DEI poster-child. Lots of degrees, dumb as a freaking rock."

One user said, "Someone remind this foolish, vapid bint that no one's 'throwing Biden under the bus' Joe walked right in front of it and lied down."

Another user commented, "She must be talking about 'The Office' TV show."

One replied, "Has she ever had an intelligent take? She might be the dumbest person on a panel that includes Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg."

One said, "But Biden is a walking cadaver, Sunny."
