NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: If you thought family arguments over the holidays were intense, they've got nothing on the vehement back-and-forth between Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro on the Monday, December 9 episode of 'The View'.

With the panel discussing Donald Trump’s ever-growing list of promises and provocations ahead of his return to office, the two co-hosts couldn’t have been further apart on how to deal with the looming storm.

Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro argue over panicking about Donald Trump's policy plans

Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the debate with a clear message: Stop wringing your hands over Donald Trump's antics—at least for now.

Whether it’s his latest headline-grabbing venture — the Fight, Fight, Fight fragrance line — or his repeated warnings about major policy shifts, the EGOT winner argued that the president-elect thrives on keeping people in a state of panic, as per The Daily Beast.

"He does this to keep you all in a panic," Goldberg remarked, adding, "He does it to make y’all do this [wringing her hands], and talk about him, and [say] 'It’s so terrible.'"

She added, "But all we have to do from now until January 21st is be with our families, be with our kids, do our jobs, make sure our checks don’t bounce, make sure we are taking care of ourselves and our families. Whatever he’s gonna do, he’s gonna do."

But Navarro wasn’t there for Goldberg’s relaxed approach.

She said, "I told you last week I disagree with you when you say that because we have the luxury of saying that because we’re legal, we are successful, we are—if you’re an illegal immigrant in this country, you’re not going to be not in a panic."

"If you are a woman working for the Department of Defense, you have a right to be in a panic," Navarro continued, pointing to the potential confirmation of Fox News' Pete Hegseth as the  Secretary of Defense.

In response, Goldberg said, "Ana, you tell people to stay fraught and like this [waving her hands again]," but Navarro argued that she was only "telling people to prepare."

"Do you think they’re not prepared? They are prepared!" Goldberg yelled back.

The disagreement escalated into a full-on verbal duel. Navarro argued that it "means that they can’t be relaxing and enjoying Christmas," but Goldberg insisted that "it doesn’t mean that."

Navarro then dropped a 'Game of Thrones' reference to hammer home her point. "Winter is coming," she warned.

Goldberg, however, wasn’t buying it. "Winter is here," she shot back, rolling her eyes at the doom-and-gloom rhetoric. "My point is, we can lay down and do nothing for the next 15 days and then be freaking out for the next [however many years]," she explained.

Navarro wouldn't budge. "My point to you is that we are in a privileged position to even suggest that everyone should be able to enjoy the holidays right now," she said.

Goldberg concluded by saying that "we don’t know what we’re panicking for," drawing applause.

She expressed, "They’re throwing 50,000 things at you to make you do [panic]. I’m saying, don’t buy into that. Do what you have to do to take care of your family. And when we know what is happening and we know what we’re fighting, we’ll get out and fight."

Internet roasts 'The View' as Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro clash over Donald Trump

'The View' and the co-hosts were widely mocked over the heated back and forth.

One wrote, "Whoopie is looking to keep The View on a ventilator for as long as possible, only a matter of time before they are out of a job tick tock," and another said, "You know it’s bad when Whoopi has to tell to chill."

"Oh, they are most definitely panicking," a person chimed in, with someone else adding, "Whoopi starting to accept reality.

An individual declared, "This show is a mess," and another person remarked, "They really should cancel this show. Who woulda thought this cast would bring neuroticism and delusion right to your living room or phone?"
