Whoopi Goldberg suggests Elon Musk, not JD Vance, is Donald Trump’s ‘actual vice president’
In a recent episode of 'The View', Whoopi Goldberg, 69, speculated that JD Vance, 40, served only as a temporary second-in-command, highlighting Elon Musk's increasing sway over the upcoming administration.
She wondered why Musk had not relinquished the social media platform, X, which he acquired amid controversy in 2022, despite his connections with the 78-year-old president-elect.
"I believe Elon Musk is the actual vice president. Yes, I believe that," she remarked, noting that Vance is "kind of an interim."
Goldberg added, "But I believe that Musk, he's the real actual vice president. He's making decisions, he's doing things. So I think, 'Why doesn't he have to give up X?'... I'm musing."
Over the past two weeks, Trump and his close associate Musk have appeared to be inseparable, attending a UFC match together, with Musk also joining Trump for family meals and photo opportunities, Daily Mail reported.
Musk has participated in calls with world leaders alongside Trump and, as part of the administration's transition team, has influenced staffing decisions.
On election night, at Trump's behest, Musk and his young son, X, were included in the Trump family photograph. In the following days, Trump's granddaughter Kai mentioned that Musk had attained "uncle status" after the billionaire made a guest appearance at the family golf outing, as reported earlier.
