NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Vice President-elect JD Vance has sparked rumors of falling out of favor with Donald Trump as he was noticeably absent from the President-elect's multiple recent public outings, Nicki Swift reported on Monday, November 18.

The relationship between Vance and Trump had been rocky in the past. In 2016, Vance compared Trump to Adolf Hitler but later endorsed him and even became his running mate in the 2024 presidential election.

After winning the 2024 election, Trump said of his running mate, "(Vance) turned out to be a good choice. I took a little heat at the beginning, but I knew the brain was a good one — as good as it gets."

JD Vance was apparently not invited to several of Trump's public outings with his inner circle, which includes tech billionaire Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Robert F Kennedy Jr, and Donald Trump Jr.

The most popular event missed by Vance was the UFC 309 at the Madison Square Garden on Saturday, November 16, where Trump's entourage also included Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Kid Rock.

Trump's deputy communications chief Margo Martin posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) the following day, which showed the president-elect enjoying a McDonald's meal with his inner circle on board Trump Force One. The image went viral over social media and fueled the rumors of Vance being left in isolation.

Internet users voice their concerns about JD Vance

Netizens, who are aware of Donald Trump's tendency to cut off connections with former associates, most notably Mike Pence who was his vice president from the first term, have expressed their concerns for JD Vance on X.

"Anybody else notices that JD Vance is missing?" asked a social media user.

"It’s so funny that he just does not hang out with JD Vance," noted another.
