Miguel Urias' grieving family pleads for any info on hit-and-run driver who killed dad-of-two in LA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The family of 37-year-old Miguel Urias, who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding his motorcycle home in South Los Angeles, is desperately seeking justice.
The incident occurred on November 7, when Urias, a devoted husband and father of a young daughter and son, was on his way home from his mother's house.
What led to the tragic accident?
The devastating collision unfolded as Urias was traveling westbound on Manchester Avenue near San Pedro Street.
Surveillance footage captured the heart-stopping moment when a car abruptly cut him off, sending him flying into the road. The driver responsible callously fled the scene without stopping to offer aid or identify themselves.
Despite Urias's swift hospitalization, he succumbed to his injuries later that night. The loss has left his family in profound grief, with his widow, Diana Roman Saenz, expressing the immense pain of having to explain the heartbreaking reality to their two children.
“We have two kids. I have a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old and they still think it’s a dream,” said Diana. Adding to the anguish, the family has been grappling with the lack of closure, as the hit-and-run driver remains at large.
In an emotional plea, Diana urged the responsible party to turn themselves in, emphasizing the profound impact of their reckless actions on Urias' loved ones.

"He was someone special that I wanted to be with for the rest of my life," said Diana. "I want to tell them that they took away a good person. For them to just drive so recklessly like that and take somebody else's life, it's not fair. They need to turn themselves in."
Urias's sisters, Amy Roman and Diana, have been actively seeking information, posting fliers along Manchester Boulevard.
Attorney Matt Zar, hired by the family, revealed that the hit-and-run driver is likely a woman in her 20s driving a dark-colored older Dodge Charger.
The family hopes that the partial license plate information, starting with an 8 and ending in 234, will aid in locating the responsible driver. As the family continues to grapple with their loss, a GoFundMe campaign has been established to support them during this trying time.
