NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent monologue on Fox News' 'Hannity' segment, Sean Hannity voiced strong opinions on the upcoming presidential debate, reportedly suggesting that Biden "agreed to debate Trump to avoid debating Trump."

As per Reuters, US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, have reached an agreement to participate in two highly anticipated debates during the 2024 presidential election campaign.

Reportedly, the debates are scheduled for June 27 and September 10, marking pivotal moments in the race for the White House.

In response to the announcement, Biden expressed his readiness to engage in the debates, stating, "As you said: anywhere, any time, any place," on social media.

In light of these developments, Hannity opened his remarks with a pointed assertion about the debate environment, stating, "To be clear, Joe Biden will already be debating in friendly territory with moderators who want him to win."

Hannity didn't hold back in expressing his skepticism about the impartiality of the moderators, specifically calling out CNN’s Jake Tapper.

He said, "Fake Jake is disqualified and, by the way, the media mob, the Biden campaign alone, do not get to collude and decide if Donald Trump is willing to go on a liberal network, then everyone must agree on who moderates."

As per reports, CNN will host the first 2024 presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump on June 27 at its Atlanta studios1234.

The debate will be moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash and will not have a live audience.

Hannity criticizes Joe Biden's debate behavior and moderator selection

Reflecting on potential alternatives, Hannity mentioned another CNN anchor and said, "Not much more, you know, to choose from there, but they find somebody. Maybe Dana Bash will be all right. I don't know."

He then elaborated on his concerns about the debate dynamics, especially regarding Biden's behavior and the role of the moderators. "Otherwise, Joe will lie with impunity and while Trump will be forced to debate Biden and the liberal talk show hosts at CNN. (‘Stop. Take that off the air! Oh. He's lying.') Oh, okay, but that's the person you want to moderate?" he asked.

Further questioning Biden’s preparedness and stamina, Hannity said, "Biden's list of demands will also be in effect and I have no doubt that jacked-up Joe will probably return to the stage after a heavy dose of caffeine, Red Bull or whatever he took before the State of the Union. That was weird."

"Don't expect a walk in the park," the host concluded.

Biden has expressed his willingness to participate in the two proposed debates, but under strict rules to reduce interruptions.

On the other hand, Trump has advocated for more than two debates and suggested a very large venue for "excitement purposes."

Netizens slam Sean Hannity for his debate claims

Sean Hannity's claim that Biden only agreed to a debate in order to dodge facing Trump in a debate drew major critisim of social media.

One viewer said, "“Brilliant” takes like this are why Hannity is just a tv personality and not a journalist."

Another shared, "Lol at Hannity."

Someone else pointed out, "Hannity knows trump will try to weasel out of the debate so he’s making excuses."

A follower observed, "They’re all so mad tonight."

One comment stated, "Bone Spurs McGee … who refused to show up to debate Bon Bon DeSatan… Calm down, Hannity. The hypocrisy is showing."

Another wrote, "He's trying to flip the script before the debate because they know Trump will back out."

"I believe, @seanhannity, that he's choosing networks that HAVEN'T had to pay out multi hundred million dollar judgments for telling their viewers lies," said an individual.
