WASHINGTON, DC: A wave of outrage erupted online as Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene disclosed a death threat that she apparently received days before a swatting attempt at her home on Christmas.

The 49-year-old Georgia Republican shared a screen grab of the horrific message from a man on her X (formerly Twitter) account, saying he intended to create a "parasol" out of her skin, referring to serial killer Ed Gein.

Known as the "Butcher of Plainfield," Gein murdered two women and was a tomb robber who made clothes from human remains. He died at Mendota Mental Health Institute from respiratory failure resulting from lung cancer on July 26, 1984, aged 77.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Greene wrote, "I was swatted this morning on Christmas Day and a few days ago - Thursday Dec 21st. we received this death threat where this man is saying I will be shot in the head and skinned to make a ‘parasol’ making a reference to Gein, who was a psychopath killer who would make things out of his victim’s skin."

The lawmaker also claimed that the US Capitol Police interviewed the man’s threat but he has not yet been arrested. She shared a screenshot of an email she received from investigators and said they "simply called' the suspect."

In a follow-up post, Greene mentioned, "They have not arrested Ben McLean yet. They simply called him on the phone and Cap Police sent us this email about what he said. The outright absurdity of this email response and the fact that they have not arrested this guy is shocking, thankfully I’m a gun owner."

Marjorie Taylor Greene got swatted for 'like the eighth time' on Christmas Day

Greene posted about receiving the threat on social media just hours after revealing that she was swatted for "like the eighth time" on Christmas Day while her family was enjoying festivities inside.

She wrote, "I was just swatted. This is like the 8th time. On Christmas with my family here. My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this. I appreciate them so much and my family and I are in joyous spirits celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ!"

The Congresswoman did not go into detail about the threats, but her staff stated that she had previously been the target of "political attacks."

Greene was swatted twice in August this year. As stated by the Rome Police Department, on August 23, officers responded to a 911 call about a subject being shot numerous times at a location within the city boundaries, as per Daily Mail

According to the police report, the caller said a man had been shot at her home and that a woman and children could still be inside.

One wrote, "Where is the USCP?" while another noted, "I'm struggling to understand how these messages aren't considered threats. That's wild."

A person said, "This is serious scary stuff. I’m so sorry you have to go through this. FBI should be dealing with this. But of course, FBI is very picky and choosy about who they can and cannot find in a timely fashion."

"Have the loser arrested. Make certain you have top security MTG. You are an American VIP," stated someone else.

An individual added, "Shouldn't this be a felony specifically since you're a sitting congresswoman? I hope the FBI and DOJ work as hard to find, and prosecute, these people as hard as they did to get the J6 Grandma."
