WASHINGTON, DC: Jeffrey Epstein’s shadow still looms large over Washington, and now a group of unlikely allies is teaming up to pry open that black box of secrets.

Kentucky’s Thomas Massie and Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Greene are leading a “discharge petition” that could force the release of everything the government knows about the late sex offender’s alleged empire.

Massie, a Republican known for not exactly toeing the party line, co-sponsored the “Epstein Files Transparency Act” with California Democrat Ro Khanna.

Their resolution can be described as a giant legal crowbar meant to yank open all the Epstein-related documents the DOJ has been sitting on, everything from sealed agreements to flight logs and surveillance footage.

“We all deserve to know what’s in the Epstein files, who’s implicated, and how deep this corruption goes. Americans were promised justice and transparency,” Massie declared on X. “We’re introducing a discharge petition to force a vote in the US House of Representatives on releasing the complete files.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene is co-sponsoring the effort and making her stance clear. “I am proudly cosponsoring and will sign the discharge petition,” she announced. “I will never protect pedophiles or the elites and their circles.” Thomas Massie, meanwhile, explained how the plan will work.

“A discharge petition is a procedural tool for bypassing leadership. In 7 days, we can start collecting signatures. At 218 signatures, the House must vote on our bill requiring a full release of the Epstein files. If your Representative won’t sign the discharge petition, ask why," he said.

The bill demands that Attorney General Pam Bondi publish all Epstein-related documents, from the DOJ, FBI, and US attorneys, in a searchable, downloadable format within 30 days.

This includes emails, calendars, videos, settlement agreements, grand jury transcripts, detention logs, visitor lists, and even that infamous flight log everyone’s been whispering about since 2019.

Donald Trump calls Jeffrey Epstein scandal a 'hoax' and slams his own supporters

Despite growing calls for transparency, Donald Trump lashed out at both Democrats and conservatives demanding the release of Epstein-related files, turning on a base that once hung on his every word.

“Their new scam is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” Trump posted on Truth Social, claiming the entire controversy was a Democratic plot to take him down. He offered no evidence for his claims.

Trump also accused some of his “past” supporters of falling for the Epstein narrative “hook, line, and sinker.” He added, “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats’ work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

Later, speaking from the White House, Trump referred to Republicans who disagreed with him on the Epstein issue as “stupid” and “foolish,” criticizing them for “wasting their time with a guy who obviously had some very serious problems who died three, four years ago.”

“We’ve had tremendous achievement,” he boasted, before pivoting to immigration. He claimed Democratic policies had allowed "gang members, jailbirds from all over the world” to enter the US. “They all came in and I’m doing something about it," he added.

MAGA world fractures over Jeffrey Epstein files

That said, not everyone in Donald Trump’s orbit is toeing the line.

While he urges supporters to “not waste time and energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that no one cares about,” as he posted over the weekend, many MAGA figures are taking a different stance.

House Speaker Mike Johnson is calling for increased transparency. As mentioned earlier, Marjorie Taylor Greene has already signed on. Right-wing influencers like Tucker Carlson and Laura Loomer are also going after the DOJ, accusing it of orchestrating a massive cover-up.
