WASHINGTON, DC: Politically embattled Thomas Massie dragged first lady Melania Trump into the spotlight as he vowed to publicly reveal the names of alleged Jeffrey Epstein associates before his congressional career comes to an end.
Massie, who last week lost a Republican primary in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District, emerged as one of the leading voices demanding the release of the Epstein files, a move that reportedly unleashed a wave of fury and public attacks from President Donald Trump.
He previously joined forces with colleague Democrat Ro Khanna to push for the release of more than three million pages of documents tied to Epstein under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Thomas Massie invokes Melania Trump in Epstein files fight
The 55-year-old representative, who has publicly sparked a beef with President Trump, appeared on 'Meet the Press Sunday,' where he accused Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche of “violating the law.”
“There are still millions of files they haven’t released,” he added, before noting that, “We know from talking to the victims’ lawyers that their own 302 forms haven’t been released. We know the files have been over-redacted. I have released at least three names of billionaires who are implicated in this.”
Massie argued that securing convictions in the Epstein case would be nearly impossible under the current leadership, accusing Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel of effectively “perjuring themselves” by claiming there was nobody else named in the files.
Before reaching that conclusion, he argued that even the first lady “knows that Jeffrey Epstein didn’t act alone.”
“And here’s the great thing, Kristen. Whether I’m in Congress or not, the Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, and it goes on for years,” he concluded.
Melania Trump rejects Epstein connection claims publicly
Melania has also called for further investigation into the events surrounding Epstein after vehemently denying ties to the late offender.
“I have never been friends with Jeffrey Epstein,” she told reporters gathered at the White House last month. She also denied having any friendly relationship with Epstein’s co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell.
She said her email exchanges with Maxwell were merely “casual” and suggested any connection between them stemmed from moving within the same elite social circles in New York City.
The first lady said she has “never had any knowledge of Epstein abuse of his victims.” She also pointed to what she called “fake” images and statements circulating on social media about alleged links to the offender.
She further claimed that she met President Trump “by chance” and insisted that Epstein played no role in introducing them.
Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing connected to the Epstein allegations, and no evidence has emerged linking him to Epstein’s trafficking operation. The president has also maintained that his relationship with Epstein ended after the two reportedly had a falling out years ago.
