Tiffany Haddish enters guilty plea in DUI case, avoids time behind bars
FAYETTE COUNTY, GEORGIA: Tiffany Haddish reportedly pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor alcohol-related driving charge over four years after being arrested in Georgia.
The comedian was even pressed with several charges at the time after being found asleep at the wheel of her SUV.

However, now on Tuesday, August 11, Haddish entered the guilty plea virtually just before her trial was set to begin in Fayette County. Her legal move helped her dismiss all other misdemeanor charges, including a drug-related DUI.
The ‘Girls Trip’ star was also not awarded any time behind bars, but the court order included a 12-month probation for her, which means she’s to stay away from illegal substances and alcohol, and will be subject to testing.

This came more than four years after a complaint against Haddish was made by a 911 caller who saw her sleeping behind the wheel of a white Ford Explorer, “despite other drivers blowing horns at the vehicle,” at an intersection in Peachtree City, 30 miles south of Atlanta.
After cops arrived at the scene, they did field sobriety tests on her and discovered that an odor of an illegal substance was “coming from the Defendant’s jacket and the smell of alcohol coming from the Defendant’s breath.”

Over a year later, once again in late 2023, the ‘Night School’ actress was arrested for DUI in Beverly Hills. At the time, she was found sleeping behind the wheel of her Tesla while the engine was still running.
Later in 2024, Haddish appeared on the ‘Fly on the Wall’ podcast, where she joked, “I’m very famous. All around the world, internationally known. You know it’s funny, because I’d prayed to God to give me a way to show these studios that I am internationally known and I could be in a film that’s for international purposes. ‘Cause I was told I wasn’t internationally known enough… and then I took a nap in Beverly Hills.”
“I took a nap in a car in Beverly Hills, and the police came,” she told hosts Dana Carvey and David Spade.
The 46-year-old also revealed that after being booked when she came home, she was “so shocked.”
“I was on KTLA, NBC, CBS, Fox, PBS, CNN, I was on ESPN, BBC— ‘I was like, ESPN, I’m not even an athlete!’” Haddish shared, before adding, “I was like, ‘Yup, this is kinda awesome.’ I prayed for a way to show the studios; I didn’t know it was gonna be like this, though.”
