NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former 2024 presidential candidate Senator Tim Scott, now a supporter of ex-president Donald Trump, vehemently condemned the liberal media's attacks on his character in a recent interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Thursday.

Scott asserted that outlets like ‘Morning Joe,’ CNN, and others have propagated "vile and disgusting comments" about him.

This unfolded as numerous left-leaning media personalities criticized Scott for his statements on Sunday, alleging that he is actively "working hard" to secure the position of Trump's vice president.

The personalities included ‘The View’ host Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, ‘CBS Mornings’ host Gayle King, CNN reporter Omar Jimenez, and ‘Morning Joe.'

Following this, Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share his interview with Scott.

However, many people on the internet slammed Scott, calling him a “broken man.”

Tim Scott opens up about ‘vile and disgusting’ comments about him on ‘Hannity’

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, "@votetimscott responds to the liberal media's attacks on him: 'Vile and disgusting.'"

During Thursday night edition of ‘Hannity’, the host asked Scott, “Identity groups in America, you’re not allowed to attack them. But this seems to be open season on one group: conservative African Americans.”

He continued, “I’m sure you’re sick and tired of it because I certainly am,” as he played the clips ‘Morning Joe,’ CNN, ‘The View’ cohost Ana Navarro and others. “Some of these comments are repulsive,” he added.

Scott responded, “Absolutely, they are vile and disgusting comments coming from the far Left,” as he accused most racists are left-leaned politically.

He continued, “The bigotry that comes from the far radical Left is just normal these days. Why? Because they’re trying not just to attack me, but they’re trying to make sure that any other minority who will think for themselves and will consider the GOP, they want to send a message to every single one of them: Step out of line, and we’ll attack you, too.”

Scott further said that what he considers intimidation “doesn’t work with me, and to every single African American, Hispanic, millennial — anybody in the majority population or minority population, if you believe in conservatism, stand up and be counted.”

“The radical Left, they’re so afraid of people like me, people like you, Sean, thinking for ourselves, speaking out and speaking the truth, that they will do anything they possibly can to silence the truth. But it’s not going to work with me, it’s not going to work with others,” Scott added.

Hannity then highlighted that Senator Scott could be a likely candidate on the Republican nominee's shortlist for vice president, stating “That’s just a fact. Is this a means of just trying to intimidate you, or threaten you? Or maybe they’re threatened by you.”

In response, Scott expressed, “They are certainly threatened by me. They’re threatened by me and they’re threatened by people like me.”

Internet calls Tim Scott a ‘broken man’

After Hannity aired his interview with Scott on X, numerous users took harsh jabs at Tim Scott.

One person wrote, “I respected you until you threw Haley under the bus and supported a narcissist that insults everyone and divides our country. Where did your stand for faith and values go? Sad,” and another said, “When a man willingly forfeits all of his dignity, people will notice and comment on that fact.”

An X user simply slammed Scott, saying, “Scott is a phony,” and another said, “Tim Scott is a broken man.”

One more person called out Scott, saying, “He is. A total sellout to the Republican party,” and another expressed, “SELL OUT Scott is vile and disgusting.”
