RACINE, WISCONSIN: A 31-year-old Missouri father allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend, Marquisha Williams, who is also the mother of his four children. This tragic event came to light after she was reported missing, following which the man, Trenton Ivy, confessed.

Trenton Ivy, who resides in the 7100 block of West Florissant Avenue in St Louis, was arrested at a location about 350 miles northeast of Mound City in Racine, as reported by the St Louis County Police Department.

According to details in an affidavit of probable cause, authorities revealed that Williams was reported missing by her family on December 20.

Detectives from the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons initiated an investigation into her whereabouts, uncovering that she was last seen with Ivy in the northern part of the city near Spring Avenue and Cook Avenue. Both individuals were in Williams' car, a gray 2020 Jeep Compass.

Family members conveyed to the police that on December 20, Williams and Ivy dropped off their four children at various daycare centers and relatives' homes before heading to her job. However, she reportedly did not arrive at work that morning.

Ivy was arrested in Racine on December 22 on unrelated criminal charges, which included using a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest by an officer, and fleeing from an officer in a vehicle.

At the time of his arrest, Ivy was driving Williams' Jeep Compass and was the sole occupant.

A search of the vehicle uncovered "blood and biological material" along with several personal items belonging to Williams, according to police reports.

In an interview with detectives from the Racine Police Department after his arrest, the defendant admitted to killing Williams in St Louis.

He also confessed to engaging in a physical altercation with Williams that led to her death and revealed that he disposed of her body in an unknown location.

What are the charges against Trenton Ivy?

Trenton Ivy was apprehended on Friday and is facing one count of first-degree murder. Currently, he is being held without bond in Racine, Wisconsin.

Upon learning about Marquisha Williams' tragic death, members of her family expressed deep sorrow.

Sandy Bagley, Williams' aunt, said, "Marquisha was very, very sweet, calm, and nice. She loved her kids, and we all loved being around her. My niece was so excited about Christmas and really looking forward to celebrating the holiday with us and her four children."

Bagley explained that the couple had parted ways earlier this year but were actively working on co-parenting their children. She also mentioned that Williams had recently "started seeing someone else," a situation that might have triggered anger in Ivy.

Despite the heartbreaking circumstances, Williams' family has reportedly stated their commitment to continuing the search for her body, aiming to find closure in this difficult situation.
