WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump used his Truth Social account on Wednesday, September 3, to roll out a fresh wave of AI-edited memes aimed at his political rivals.

The Democratic governors of California and Illinois were the main targets, as the MAGA leader ramped up his online battle with satirical posts and videos.

Trump turns Gavin Newsom and other rivals into a meme target with AI videos

One video showed California Governor Gavin Newsom’s head attached to the body of a man struggling to land punches on a heavy bag with Donald Trump’s face.

Another clip showed a doctored scene of Newsom wearing a red “Trump 2028” hat, jokingly saying he received it in the mail. "I am his one of the biggest supporters. These guys are not screwing around," he says in the AI-generated clip.

Trump also shared an edited video of Democratic Representative Adam Schiff with an exaggerated long neck, while in another clip, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared alongside Illinois Governor JB Pritzker in a sumo wrestling spoof.

Both Pritzker and Christie have long been critics of Trump, and the president has previously mocked them over their weight.

Trump threatens to take away Rosie O’Donnell's US citizenship again

Donald Trump even posted a video with his head added to the body pole vaulting over the now-abandoned new Cracker Barrel logo to reveal the old one.

He is then joined by a figure with the head of Vice President JD Vance, the two carrying American flags like victorious athletes.

In another post, he once again threatened to take away Rosie O’Donnell's US citizenship. “As previously mentioned, we are giving serious thought to taking away Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship. She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!” Trump wrote, along with a bloated picture of the comedian's face.

A video of Trump as a fifth head on Mount Rushmore set to Sam and Dave’s 'Hold On, I’m Comin''.

One video was of “Trump” dancing with Uncle Herschel from the Cracker Barrel logo as 'YMCA' by The Village People plays.

Gavin Newsom's office fires back

Gavin Newsom’s office quickly fired back with its own AI-edited creations. One showed a towering version of Newsom welcoming a much shorter Trump, who stood on a box, as the music from The Wizard of Oz’s 'Munchkinland' played in the background.

Another image showed Newsom sipping from a bottle labeled “MAGA TEARS” with the message “CHEERS! PATRIOTS!!!” and a health warning mock-up featuring Trump alongside the phrase “MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN!!”

In one more meme, Trump is on the floor, crying out, “I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up!”

In another meme, the California governor is holding a toddler-sized version of Trump having a tantrum in a diaper as Newsom places him behind bars.

The California governor’s team has previously poked fun at Trump with 'Star Wars' voiceovers, 'Harry Potter' references, and a running nickname—“Donald ‘TACO’ Trump,” shorthand for “Trump Always Chickens Out.”

Internet reacts to Trump’s meme blitz against rivals

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson reposted the sumo wrestling clip of JB Pritzker and Chris Christie with a laughing emoji, writing, “President Trump is on a ROLL tonight.”

Political commentator Danielle Mejia shared Schiff’s long-neck video, adding, “President Trump posting Memes is so Funny.”

Supporters on X called the content a hit. “This is hilarious, Trump just absolutely destroyed them with that meme, can’t stop laughing, pure savage energy, makes you wanna replay it again and again,” one MAGA supporter wrote.

“I must say the meme kung fu coming out of these guys is strong. Much overdue and welcome IMO,” another wrote.

One user cheered Trump’s approach to humor, saying, “Hes got such a sense of humor, that's something you rarely see in a president. But he was the first to truly use humor to win hearts and minds.”
