WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump launched a series of attacks against Fox News on Tuesday, November 3, as Americans voted in the 2026 midterm elections.

He criticised the network's coverage, polling and ratings while singling out political commentator Jessica Tarlov.

Trump complained about Tarlov's voice in a Truth Social post before accusing Fox News of being politically biased against him and claiming its audience was declining.

His attacks came as polls indicated potential Republican losses in the House and Senate amid voter concerns over the cost of living and the war with Iran.

Trump attacks Jessica Tarlov and Fox News polling

Trump's criticism began shortly before the first polling stations closed. He said he was watching Fox News' pre-election coverage but objected to Tarlov, a liberal commentator and co-host of 'The Five.'

"Watching the Pre-Election Results on FoxNews, but I can't stand Jessica Tarlov's voice, dumb as a rock, but it's the voice that gets me," he wrote. "Have to go somewhere else until that LOSER is off the air, I'll be back later!"

Approximately an hour later, Trump returned to Truth Social to criticise the network's polling, accusing it of framing questions against him.

"The Fox News Poll, always the worst, is so insulting with the questions they ask," Trump wrote. "Every question is a hit job, and every answer is ‘bulls**t!’ This has been going on for years."

The president subsequently claimed that Fox News was losing viewers because of its coverage of Democrats and criticism of his administration.

"Fox News Ratings are way down (27%!) because they're spending too much time covering the Trump Deranged Dumocrats," he wrote. "All of those people who used to watch Fox, and no longer do, get it. It's them, not me. My numbers are better than they have ever been."

Trump also cited a CNN poll, claiming it showed strong support for him among Republicans and comparing his standing with that of former presidents Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln.

He also accused Fox News' parent company of donating to Democratic politicians, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Representative Jamie Raskin, Representative Ted Lieu and Representative Pete Aguilar.

"No wonder Fox News Ratings are collapsing, and they're going to go down a lot further," Trump wrote.

"They're way down, not because of me, but because they are against me! This happened once before, and Fox almost collapsed. It's happening again!"

Trump shares Harry Enten clips amid Fox News feud

While criticising Fox News, Trump also shared several CNN clips featuring the network's chief data analyst, Harry Enten.

The clips included discussions of polling that showed continued support for Trump among MAGA voters and a survey indicating that a majority of Republicans named him as the president they admired most.

Trump has previously praised Enten, describing him as the "best person on CNN", and has played his clips during campaign rallies.

However, Enten has also highlighted polling that points to a difficult midterm election for Republicans. Last month, he warned of a potential Democratic "blowout" and described polling showing Trump's declining approval as "a five-alarm Trumpster fire."

Trump made the remarks after a Fox News poll reportedly put his approval rating at 36%, while the network projected that Democrats were likely to win control of the House.
