JOINT BASE ANDREWS, MARYLAND: President Donald Trump said on Friday, April 11, that he aced a cognitive exam during his annual physical at Walter Reed.

Trump hints at upcoming cognitive test results following checkup at Walter Reed

“I think I did well,” he said. “I think they're releasing a report on Sunday, the doctors, highly respected doctors. Great place, amazing place. I wanted to be a little different, I took a cognitive test and I don't know what to tell you other than I got every answer right.”

When asked which cognitive test he took, the 78-year-old president wasn’t sure. “A very well-known one,” he said. “I was there for a long time. I think I did very well.”

Trump, now the oldest president ever sworn, said doctors gave him “a little bit” of advice about lifestyle improvements but didn’t elaborate. “Overall, I felt I was in very good shape,” he told reporters. “A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul.”

Trump also used the moment to take a swipe at former President Joe Biden, accusing him of ducking mental fitness tests.

“Biden refused to take it,” he said. “That's what the American people want. I don't refused to take it.”

The upcoming report will be the first update on Trump’s health since he survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania last July.
