WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump affirmed that the US had “zero” illegal entries for six months in a row, touting what he characterized as a reversal of a previous border crisis.

Trump emphasized the reduction in crossings, claiming, “Illegal border crossings along our southwest border have plummeted to the lowest level ever recorded.”

Trump says border crossings hit 'zero' for six straight months

President Donald Trump, during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, December 2, stated that his administration had successfully resolved what he called “the worst border crisis in world history.”

He asserted, “For six months in a row, zero illegal aliens have been admitted into the United States. You believe that? Zero.”President Donald Trump stands to leave after attend a meeting of his Cabinet, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in the Cabinet Room of the White House on December 02, 2025 in Washington, DC. Trump emphasized the scale of the shift: “We had millions of people coming in a year. Millions. Now we have 0 for 6 months and these are given by radical left people that do the numbers. I mean, they’re not doing me a favor.” He further claimed, “Illegal border crossings along our southwest border have plummeted,  absolutely plummeted, to the lowest level ever recorded, ever recorded. And nobody talks about that, you know, it’s crazy. They don’t talk about it like you think they’d say well, Trump said a great job once at the border.”

Trump reiterated that strong borders were essential for national recovery: “We take people in, but they have to come in legally,” he said, repeating an earlier claim that, “We had millions of people coming in a year, millions. Now we have zero for six months.”

Trump credits enforcement agencies for dramatic border turnaround

In the Cabinet meeting, Trump credited the Border Patrol, ICE, and the military with transforming what he called a “nasty” border situation.

He said the new environment had made their work much easier, noting, “Now they don't even come up. Nobody comes up. It’s an easy job. I made your job a lot easier, because they know they're not going to get through.”

Kristi Noem cites mass removals, alleges widespread visa fraud in Minnesota

Following the president’s remarks, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem highlighted her department’s focus on reversing the policies of the previous administration.

She said Joe Biden “used this department to invade the country with terrorists” and “opened up the borders” to anyone reaching U.S. entry points, declaring, “So it’s our job to get them out.”

Noem said the administration had already “removed two million people” who were in the country illegally.

She told the president, “People that were here illegally, you’ve removed from our country and sent home, and we’re going to send more home for the holidays.” The Secretary of Homeland Security also detailed a directive from President Trump to “look into Minnesota and their fraud on visas and their programs."

She said, “Fifty per cent of them are fraudulent, which means that that wacko Governor Waltz either is an idiot or he did it on purpose. And I think he’s both, sir.”

Noem claimed that immigrants who “never should have been in this country” were “brought in there illegally,” including those who “said they were married to somebody who was their brother.”

She further claimed that these individuals had “signed up for government programs,” taking “hundreds of billions of dollars from the taxpayers and we’re gonna remove them and we’re gonna get our money back.” In response, all President Trump said was, “Good.”
