Trump breaks out signature ‘YMCA’ dance moves after roasting NYC’s new mayor Zohran Mamdani
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Donald Trump decided to end his Florida speech with a little dancing right after torching New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani.
The president broke out his signature 'YMCA' moves after taking several swipes at Mamdani, the newly elected, Indian-origin, self-described socialist who just made history as NYC’s first Muslim mayor.

Trump calls Zohran Mamdani’s rise a threat to NY’s economy and security
Speaking at the America Business Forum in Miami, Trump mocked Mamdani’s win as a “complete and total economic and social disaster” in the making.
“If you want to see what Congressional Democrats wish to do to America, just look at the result of yesterday’s election in New York,” Trump declared, accusing the Democratic Party of having “installed a communist as the mayor.”
The president told the cheering Florida crowd that Americans had “restored their sovereignty” by re-electing him, but said the Big Apple had “lost a little bit” of it with Mamdani’s win.

“We have a choice between communism and common sense… It’s common sense or communism,” Trump said. “But we will take care of it. Don’t worry about it,” he said, before warning, “You watch what happens in New York, terrible... I hope it doesn’t happen, but you’re going to see it.”
Trump slams Zohran Mamdani’s views on trans athletes and left-wing policies
Trump also took a swing at Mamdani’s progressive stances. “...and Mandami, whatever the hell his name is in New York… thinks it’s wonderful to have men playing in women’s sports,” Trump said, drawing boos from the Miami audience.
He accused Democrats of pushing America toward “communist Cuba” and “socialist Venezuela.” “You see what happened to those places,” he warned, suggesting Miami might soon become a “refuge” for New Yorkers fleeing Mamdani’s policies.
Despite his remarks, Trump insisted he still has love for his hometown. “I love New York… we had the telltale signs of trouble because we had a guy named de Blasio,” he said, taking a jab at the former Democrat mayor.

Zohran Mamdani responds to Trump after landmark win
Back in New York, Zohran Mamdani was taking it all in. The 33-year-old socialist clinched the city’s top job on Tuesday, a landmark moment that made him the first Muslim mayor in New York City’s history.
Mamdani’s campaign had heavy backing from progressive powerhouses. A New York Times report claimed that the new mayor even had a 30-minute phone call with Barack Obama before the polls, during which the former president “heaped praise” on Mamdani’s campaign.
In his victory speech, he gave Trump a shoutout by name. “So, Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up,” Mamdani said, prompting cheers from his supporters.
