WASHINGTON, DC: The President of the United States of America now has the “Trump” card to lure wealthy foreigners into the country for a fee of $5 million.

Donald Trump, 78, recently came under fire after he proudly unveiled the design of his administration’s new $5 million “Gold Card” immigration status to reporters on Thursday, April 3.

The president showed off the card, which was emblazoned with his face, to reporters aboard Air Force One on the way to Florida for the LIV Golf tour at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

After stating his desire to bring out the gold cards featuring “green-card privileges-plus” first in February, the Commander-in-Chief unveiled the design on Thursday.

The latest card is a revamped take on the EB-5 visa program, aimed at bringing wealthy foreigners to the country.

“For $5 million, this could be yours,” the MAGA spearhead told the reporters, before adding, “That was the first of the cards. You know what that card is?”

“It’s the Gold Card — the Trump card,” revealed the president. “Pretty exciting, right? Anybody want to buy one?" Trump further asked.

Trump revealed that he was the first buyer, before explaining that the card “will be out in less than two weeks, probably,” the New York Post reported.

Last month, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick sensationally claimed that more than 1,000 gold cards had already been sold, with 37 million having the means to buy one.

Lutnick previously explained that selling the Gold Cards could even help in recovering a portion of national debts.

“There’s a line for EB-5 of 250,000 right now. 200,000 of these gold green cards [at $5 million] is $1 trillion to pay down our debt,” he said while referring to the $36.5 trillion national debt.

As reported by the outlet, over the last 25 years—ever since Congress created the EB-5 visa program in the 1990s—135,518 EB-5 visas have been issued, per the Invest In the USA (IIUSA) trade association of program participants.

Internet slams Donald Trump's 'Gold Card' immigration scheme

The Internet appeared to be frustrated with the Gold Card immigration scheme as they left no stone unturned to troll Donald Trump over it. Calling the scheme "completely out of touch," netizens declared that now even illegal immigrants can become legal citizens if they have the means to pay $5 million.

One of the social media users declared, "Completely out of touch."

"So if a Gang Member or Cartel buys one of these, or an ISIS member or an Iranian buys one, and ICE stop them, they just pull out the gold card with Trump's face and ICE will leave them alone? Is that how this works?" asked someone, before adding, "Criminals will buy their freedom."

"Always the center of the attention - it’s a masterclass in being completely out of touch with reality. While working families are watching their 401(k)s bleed, wondering how long they’ll have a job, he’s out here hawking gold card like it’s a stairway to heaven," one person wrote.

Another commented, "He’ll probably introduce a Platinum Card soon enough. 25 million no background checks."

"Is that for real? 😱," asked one individual.

Someone else noted, "Gawd, why do so many people think narcissists can make good leaders?"

"The economy crashes, and he’s out here hawking gold cards with his face on them. Unreal," pointed out another.

Someone else added, "This guy is literally selling out the US and MAGA (who was always against that type of thing) is now cheering their cult leader on."

"I wonder if his supporters will buy them? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Amazing how stupid half the country is," penned one netizen.

Someone else asked, "Do you honestly expect a man who is just hearing the word groceries for the first time to be in touch with the American people? I mean come on, we have no one to blame but ourselves for this."

"Now illegal immigrants can become legal for $5 million 😂," added another.

Another social media user said, "Self love is evident here."
