Donald Trump takes a jab at ‘liberal’ Miley Cyrus while lauding ‘conservative guy’ Billy Ray

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Donald Trump heaped praise on Billy Ray Cyrus but bashed his daughter, pop icon Miley Cyrus, for her political views.

The former president made a campaign stop at Music City. He attended a Bitcoin conference at Nashville’s Music City Center, on Saturday, July 27.

Trump's comments come at a time when Billy Ray’s nasty divorce from estranged wife Firerose is making headlines. In addition, Billy Ray also has a strained relationship with Miley.

During his speech at the Bitcoin conference, where he aimed to garner support from the crypto community, Donald Trump acknowledged several famous attendees at the conference, including country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. 

He expressed gratitude to Billy Ray for performing at the funeral of a retired firefighter who was tragically killed in Butler, Pennsylvania, following an assassination attempt on Trump during a rally.

Trump sustained a minor wound to his ear, but Corey Comperatore died protecting his family, and two others were severely injured.

Donald Trump calls out Miley Cyrus during campaign stop in Music City

While addressing Billy Ray Cyrus in his campaign stop in Nashville, Donald Trump took a jab at Miley Cyrus, saying, “Billy Ray Cyrus is here, where is Billy Ray… he’s around here someplace. He’s a conservative guy. I said, ‘How did you get such a liberal daughter?’ How did that happen, Billy Ray?’”

According to Whiskeyriff, it’s well-known that the Cyrus family, except for Billy Ray, are not supporters of Donald Trump. 

Miley is particularly vocal about her left-leaning political views. During the 2016 election, she was highly critical of Trump and posted a video of herself in tears after his victory, expressing her belief that Hillary Clinton deserved to be the first female president.

Recently, Billy Ray’s other daughter, Noah, responded to a Trump speech by saying, “I’m terrified.”

While talking about the Cyrus family, Trump also praised Kid Rock for his performance at the Republican National Convention earlier this month in Milwaukee.
