Miley Cyrus claims dad Billy Ray 'dead' to her after he calls her 'skank' in bombshell audio leak
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billy Ray Cyrus might have reportedly ruined his connection with his daughter Miley Cyrus forever for calling his daughter a "skank" and a "devil" in a shocking leaked audio rant.
According to sources, the former Disney star now considers her country music father "dead to her," and she does not care about his explanation or apologies, amid his ongoing divorce drama with his estranged wife, Firerose.
Billy Ray admitted that he was the one speaking on the leaked audio recording, citing Firerose (born Johanna Scholem) as the reason he had reached his "wit's end."
Insiders claim 'any respect that Miley had for her father is gone' following 'skank' remarks
The recording, obtained by Daily Mail, featured Billy speaking incoherently in the third person about himself before focusing on his daughter Miley and calling her "devil" before shockingly saying, "Everyone knows that devil's a skank."
However, many claimed that Billy made the "devil" comment about his ex-wife Tish. He continued by calling Tish a "liar…a w***e…and a cheat."
Insiders claimed that the leaked audio was the final straw for Miley, 31, days after 62-year-old Billy's harsh criticism of his popstar daughter went public.
Miley's relationship with her father—who unleashed an expletives-filled tirade on Firerose, 37, as well in the leaked audio—was already on rocky terms due to his marriage to his now-estranged wife.
According to sources, Billy is now "dead to Miley," who hasn't spoken to her father since her mother Tish, 57, filed for divorce from him in 2022 after 28 years of marriage.
Insiders now claim that Miley no longer has any respect for her father. "There is no excuse, ever, for a father to call his daughter a skank. Any inkling of respect that Miley had for her father is gone. He is dead to her," an insider revealed.
"Billy Ray and Miley have already been on bad terms since his marriage to Firerose only three months after her mother Tish filed for divorce," they added.
Miley Cyrus will not 'accept any apologies' from Billy Ray
The insider added that Miley is not shocked that Billy made those remarks about her during his foul-mouthed tirade. The 'Wrecking Ball' singer seems not to care anymore, said a second insider.
The source said, "Honestly, Miley is not surprised that these words came out of his mouth," while the second one added, "Miley is mad, sad and also not giving a s**t, all the emotions are there."
"Miley is over-caring about what Billy Ray has to say about her, her mom, or her siblings. Miley is as independent of a woman as possible, and she refuses to let her dad, or any man, break her heart."
The first insider claimed that Miley is "refusing to entertain" any apology from her father, despite Billy's attempts to justify his outburst by claiming that his remarks were "taken out of context."
They asserted, "He is trying to say that what he said about Miley, calling her a skank, was taken out of context. But Miley is not even entertaining any of this. She won't be accepting any apologies."
Billy's remarks on Miley's mother Tish, to whom he was married from 1993 until 2022, have also been alleged to have offended the 'Flowers' hitmaker.
According to the source, Miley was further hurt when it came to light that her father had also been angry with her mother Tish, who Billy never calls by name but instead refers to as "s**t."
However, in a text message to his manager Scott Adkins, Billy once more attacked his ex-wife and the mother of his three children— Miley, Braison, and Noah—saying, "She is a liar…a w***e…and a cheat. Complete skank. Scum of the earth. A fraud."
Billy went on to compare Tish to Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina, saying, "Makes Deanna Lohan look like Mother Theresa."
Internet divides over Miley Cyrus' alleged reaction to Billy Ray Cyrus' remarks
Social media users took to the online platform Facebook to express their divided opinions, as one user wrote, "My dad ever called me those revolting names and he'd be dead to me too. He raised her, so maybe he should take a long hard look at himself (and his wife for that matter!)"
A second one echoed a similar sentiment and wrote in part, "She was so close to her dad .. she idolized him .. this must hurt her so much .. no father should talk like that to his daughter …"
"That family was SO CLOSE!! This is sad," exclaimed another.
One user defended Billy's comments and said, "I hate to say it, but sometimes the truth hurts"
"Dad was just telling the truth. Yes, the truth always hurts. She needs to grow up and respect herself first then respect from loved ones will be rewarded," remarked another.
Another noted, "He gave her the chance in life. Without him. I wonder. Never push the hands away. That helped you in life. My belief."
One user suggested, "There's something called forgiveness this family and all of us could use. It's not easy but we need to learn to live with each other with love."
