Billy Ray Cyrus admits he was at ‘wit’s end’ in viral audio of argument with estranged wife Firerose
FLATWOODS, KENTUCKY: In an Instagram Story posted on July 24, Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, reaffirmed his comments from a leaked audio recording of a heated argument with his estranged wife, Firerose.
Billy Ray's marriage to Sydney-born singer Firerose (born Johanna Scholem) lasted only 7 months, the pair initially meeting in 2010 while Billy was married to his former wife.

Billy Ray Cyrus has been married twice before, most notably to Tish Cyrus, with whom he has five children, including the well-known musician and actor Miley Cyrus. They ended their nearly 30-year marriage in 2022.
Billy Ray's marriage to Firerose occurred just four months (in October 2023) after Cyrus filed for divorce.
“Hell yeah, I was at my wit’s end,” Billy Ray wrote.
“As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges [sic] ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parent's [sic] last name," he continued.
Billy Ray presented his perspective with a photo of a flames-encircled rose.
He mentioned that he was unaware of her arrest for felony residential burglary and added, "I saw before my very own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie. She was trying to take over my career and life and usurp the Cyrus name for her gain."
Billy Ray ended his post with a direct message to Firerose, "See you in court."
Billy Ray’s attorneys, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley of Cheatham Palermo and Garrett, addressed the audio drama in a statement to Us Magazine on Wednesday.
According to Daily Mail, Firerose claimed that Billy Ray kicked her out of their marital home on May 23, 2024, one day before she was scheduled to undergo a preventative double mastectomy due to her diagnosis with the BRCA1 gene, which places her at high risk for certain cancers.
She has since postponed her surgery indefinitely. Earlier this month, she filed a motion to retrieve her property, claiming that her estranged husband has refused to let her return to the home to collect her belongings.

A recording of Cyrus and Firerose, 37, acquired by Daily Mail shows where the ex-duo appeared to argue over the timing of his performance on July 24.
Cyrus said, “I needed to leave two hours ago,” to which Firerose replied, “No you didn’t, you can still leave.”
Cyrus then responds angrily, shouting, “Get the f**k out of here. I had to go when I was ready to go. If you had just shut the f**k up.”
In the recording, Firerose asks him to “stop screaming” at her, while Cyrus continues to place blame on her for the situation.
“If you would’ve left it the f**k alone,” he said. “If you would’ve left it alone when I told you, it’s done. Now I’m really f**king pissed. You once again showed me you will not listen. I don’t know who the f**k you think you are but you will not f**king listen.”
He continued, “This ain’t about your BRCA, this ain’t about your surgery, this ain’t about nothing. This is about you being a f**king selfish b**ch. That's what you are."
He continued, “I’ve changed my damn mind on that s**t. What you are is a selfish b**ch.”
As she pleads for him to "please stop shouting," he responds, "This would not be happening if you had just shut your f**king mouth. Look what a f**king mess you've made."
"What a dumb ass [you are] …'cos you have to know I will not tolerate that s**t. You just f**ked up…f**k you. You know better than that. F**king idiot."
In audio obtained by Daily Mail, Billy Ray Cyrus refers to himself in the third person and makes derogatory remarks about his daughter, Miley, calling her a "devil's skank."
He also disparages his ex-wife, Tish, "She is a liar…a w***e…and a cheat. Complete skank. Scum of the earth. A fraud," in a text exchange with his manager and publicist Scott Adkins.
Tish Cyrus, who was married to Billy Ray for over 30 years, is the mother of three of his biological children, Miley (1992), followed by their son Braison (1994), youngest daughter Noah, (2000), and two adopted children, Brandi Cyrus, and Trace Cyrus.
They stated that Billy Ray had "previously admitted in a court filing that he had been very vocally frustrated and angry with Ms Hodges during their 7-month marriage as he began to uncover more and more of her true motives for marrying him."
