Billy Ray Cyrus’ ex Firerose becomes US citizen amid nasty divorce battle after just 7 months of marriage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Firerose, who has been involved in a divorce battle with Billy Ray Cyrus since May, has now faced criticism on the internet after becoming a US citizen. Many have claimed that she sought marriage to obtain a green card and financial benefits rather than for genuine affection.
Meanwhile, Cyrus was already worried about his dwindling finances before things went south with Firerose. An insider noted that the singer is terrified that his third divorce will plunge him even deeper into a financial hole.

On Thursday, July 18, the 37-year-old Australian singer-songwriter unveiled in an Instagram Reel that she has become a US citizen.
Set to the tune of Zach Williams' power ballad 'Rescue Story,' the video shows Firerose in a navy suit as she receives her citizenship in Tennessee.
She is seen holding an American flag and what appears to be a certificate from Senator Bill Hagerty. At the end of the clip, she shares a picture of ice cream with candles and a note that says, "Congratulations."
"This amazing country’s been my home for 17 years. I couldn’t be more thrilled to become a US Citizen! 🇺🇸🗽❤️," she captioned the post.
Firerose's US citizenship draws criticism on internet
After Firerose announced her US citizenship on Instagram, internet users criticized her based on the belief that she married Billy Ray Cyrus primarily for personal gain.
One user said, "She married him to get a green card. Figures." Another slammed, "In my opinion she only married him cause she saw dollar signs in her eyes. She's a gold digger."
A third user expressed, "She got what she really wanted...." Another added, "Lol he paid for this." One Facebook user claimed, "She just needed a green card and some of his money."
Another user wrote, "Only reason she married him,"
Source claims Billy Ray Cyrus 'needs to find a way to raise cash'
A source shared a warning about Cyrus, "He lost $10 million last year, not to mention all the money he probably blew while he was married to Firerose, so he desperately needs to find a way to raise some cash ASAP."
The 62-year-old 'Achy Breaky Heart' star ended his seven-month marriage to the 36-year-old Australian singer in May. He requested an annulment, claiming she charged $97,000 on his credit cards in about three weeks.
Cyrus' divorce filing cited irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct, allegations that Firerose denied, as per Radar Online.
In court documents, Cyrus claims he "gave consent to marriage based on fraud" and accused Firerose of going on wild spending sprees behind his back.
On July 10, a Tennessee judge granted Cyrus's emergency motion to freeze Firerose's use of his credit cards, stating she had no legitimate reason to access them.
On the other hand, Firerose accused Cyrus of verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse, while Cyrus claimed he faced similar mistreatment.
Additionally, Cyrus alleged that Firerose isolated him from his family, including limiting his communication with one of his daughters.
A source said, "Things are very messy. She’s putting up a huge fight and it seems pretty clear this is going to cost him. Billy is sweating bullets and freaked out about ending up in the poorhouse."
However, sources suggested that Cyrus cannot rely on his star daughter Miley, 31, for assistance, as she is angry with him for divorcing her mother, Tish, 57, his wife of 28 years.
"Miley was not a fan of Firerose from the get-go when Billy started dating her four years ago," an insider alleged. "She told her dad Firerose was an opportunist who was taking him for a ride, and Billy got so angry he and Miley stopped talking to each other."
"But now he wants Firerose out of his life and Miley back in, and he's even willing to put up with all her 'I told-you-so's!'"
The source added, "Miley’s worth almost $200 million but she’s hardly speaking to him right now so he can’t very well ask for cash." Consequently, he’s feverishly trying to book as many upcoming tour dates as possible to boost his dwindling bank balance.
"Firerose is pushing for a payoff and most people don’t realize how dire things are for him. His bank account is draining, and he better get out there and make some music."
