Billy Ray Cyrus learning to ‘stand still’ from daughter Noah amid his nasty divorce battle with Firerose
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As Billy Ray Cyrus navigates through his nasty divorce with Firerose, he is leaning on his daughter Noah Cyrus for advice.
The 62-year-old singer filed for divorce from his Australian singer wife on May 22, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reasons. Billy also sought an annulment on the grounds of fraud.
The decision of their split came just seven months after their wedding on October 10, 2023.
However, as the ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ star is going through this difficult phase of his life, his daughter Noah has his back.
Billy Ray Cyrus taking advice from daughter Noah Cyrus
Recently, Billy shared a throwback picture of his 24-year-old daughter, while admitting that he has been taking some well-heeded advice from the songstress who has now grown into a charming “young Lady".
The ‘Words by Heart’ singer wrote to his Instagram account, “I’m so proud of this little girl. Noah has grown into an incredible young Lady.”
He further added, “Sometimes you gotta take your daughter’s advice and just ‘Stand Still’”.
In the next slide of his Instagram post, Billy Ray shared a screenshot of the lyrics of his 2022 duet with his daughter, titled, ‘Noah (Stand Still)’, that formed his inspiration for the advice.
The song’s lyrics read, “Stand still, oh / As you get older, it gets harder to change / You might find yourself alonе with just your shame / But it’s not over / It’s all gonna be OK / And whеn times are tough remember what I say. / My grandfather told my father, ‘It don’t get easier, just harder’ / Yes, it will, remember just stand still.”

It was not just the ‘Butterfly Fly Away’ singer who is praising his daughter. Noah was also found spewing loving words for her father.
In the comment section, Noah gushed, “Love my daddy so much.”
The father-daughter duo’s fans, meanwhile, found the exchange equally heartwarming as they too gushed about the ‘All Falls Down’ songstress.
A fan said, "Love the song. Beautiful Noah."
Someone else added, "I love the picture & the song Billy Ray! It's so beautiful! Your little girl Noah has grown & blossomed into a beautiful woman! I'm so proud of her!"
Thus, two days after making his initial post, Billy Ray thanked his fans for the kind words about Noah, writing, “Hey Guys!!! I’ve been reading all of the comments about Stand Still and Noah. I love the song too! I hope everyone is having a great Friday,” and concluded with ,”Peace, Love and Light! ✌🏻❤️☀️.”

Noah, on the other hand, has had a bit of an experience in handling a messy split after she found herself in a dramatic love triangle with her ex-boyfriend/current step father Dominic Purcell, and her mother Tish Cyrus.
Billy Ray Cyrus feels relieved after filing for divorce from Firerose
Following the filing of their divorce, a source close to the singer told the People Magazine in June that the 'Could've Been Me' singer is "relieved" after the split.
The source added, "His instincts have been correct all along. He believes she only married him for financial and other reasons. He's convinced that she didn't marry him for love."

The two musicians were initially friends and their friendship turned into songwriting partnership during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Following Billy Ray's divorce with his wife of 28 years, Tish, his relationship with Firerose - born Johanna Rose Hodges - turned romantic.
The former couple tied the knot in October 2023.
