LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Firerose recently discussed her "abusive" relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus, disclosing that he imposed 'strict rules' on her during their time together.

Her revelations follow a counter complaint she submitted to a Tennessee court on June 14, alleging Cyrus subjected her to "extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse."

Cyrus had filed for divorce on May 23 after less than seven months of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct.

The 36-year-old singer revealed in a Sunday interview that Cyrus, 62, frequently yelled at her and made her feel like a 'prisoner' in their Tennessee home throughout their marriage.

The Australian singer also alleged that Cyrus was a 'cruel man,' detailing accusations of domestic abuse during their two-year relationship and seven months of marriage.

Claiming 'physical, emotional, and verbal abuse,' she spoke about how he 'isolated' her from friends and family and attempted to exert control.

"Billy had very strict rules," she explained. “I didn't have a car. I was only allowed to go to the local chiropractor and allowed once a month to get my nails done.”

Firerose described this as 'systematic isolation' and added, "I couldn't find the courage to leave."

She further alleged that Cyrus prohibited her friends and family from visiting their home, as per DailyMail.

His estranged wife added, “If I had to send a text, I had to read it out to him for permission. It was the same for email.”

Billy Ray Cyrus accused his estranged wife Firerose of pursuing his money amid divorce battle

In recent court filings in Tennessee, Cyrus refuted what he termed 'mind boggling' abuse allegations against him and accused Firerose of pursuing his money in their contentious divorce battle.

He also contested the accusation of abandoning her on May 23, the day he filed for divorce and the day scheduled for her double mastectomy.

She previously stated he evicted her from their Tennessee residence on the day of her scheduled surgery.

She disclosed she had recently been diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene mutation, increasing her risk of breast cancer, though she was unable to undergo surgery.

"When Billy decided to discard me it was [in] a brutal way," she shared. "I would never treat another human being so cruelly."

Since then, the former couple has been embroiled in a bitter legal dispute she described as 'excruciatingly painful.'

"This is a smear campaign by the person I was deeply in love with for four years and in a relationship with and who has decided to wage full blown war against me," she asserted.

Firerose explained her stress prior to their wedding

Firerose also alleged that the stress he caused her led to her passing out two days before their October wedding, requiring hospitalization.

She further claimed Cyrus would give her the silent treatment for hours or days, causing her to 'withdraw' and become 'fearful of speaking.'

She also revealed how their relationship coincided with his prior marriage to Tish Cyrus, stating she had no knowledge of this until he informed her he had already filed for divorce.

They first met in 2010 at a Hollywood studio when she was 22 and he was 48, but was still married to his second wife.

They became friends, and he called her his 'soulmate,' predicting they would have a lasting love story.

Over the next decade, they didn't stay in touch much until he found her again and asked her to sing a duet with him in 2020. He claimed he had thought about her every day since they first met.

She said he told her he was getting divorced but said it was complicated because of the kids and their long marriage. They started dating before releasing their duet "A New Day" in 2021, but he told her to keep their relationship private.

She was surprised when his then wife Tish filed for divorce in April 2022 because she thought he had already done so. She moved from Los Angeles to Tennessee to live with him shortly after.

Once they were together, she claimed he isolated her from everyone except her AA sponsor, who she insisted on speaking with since she was sober for four years.

She also alleged he became verbally abusive soon after they started dating, shouting and terrifying her. She said his narcissism affected all his relationships.

Despite their issues, they got engaged in August 2022. After they split, she said she lost her agents, who she shared with him, and he accused her of using shared credit cards fraudulently.

She claimed this caused her to lose out on many professional opportunities, including a role in a Hallmark movie worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

She acknowledged writing a note to him asking for reconciliation after leaving their home, but said he's using it to argue she couldn't have been abused if she still loved him.

She explained that love can make people tolerate mistreatment, and feared he would use every detail against her in their divorce.

"He is a evil man," she said.

Internet slams Firerose for her decision in her marriage life

After reading Firerose's statements, many criticized her decisions regarding her marriage, as per DailyMail.

One said, “Why did she marry a man that makes her so upset that she faints?”

Another added, “This sounds like a mess so it's a good thing it didn't last long. People should avoid relationships with someone they barely know. Don't just jump into the next thing because you're on the rebound or lonely or whatever. Take your time.”

The third user asserted, “He might be strange and abusive but she did not have to marry him or even date him for longer that a few months.  He wanted someone young and attractive and she wanted someone who was known and had more money than she did.”

The fourth claimed, “Stayed with him for 2 years and then married him! If he was so bad, why did she stay around?”

The last slammed, “She claims he was abusive even before  they married. So why did she marry him? I think she was in love with his fame  and money, but not with him."
