LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billy Ray Cyrus finds himself in hot water after audio of him berating his estranged wife, Firerose, surfaced.

The country singer, known for his hit 'Achy Breaky Heart,' is heard using profane language and making disparaging remarks about Firerose and some of his children in the leaked recording.

The audio, obtained by Fox News Digital, captures a heated argument between Cyrus and his soon-to-be ex-wife.

In response to the audio release, Cyrus confirmed the recording's authenticity in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Hell yeah I was at my wit's end," he admitted.

"As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges's ex-wife," Cyrus explained.

He also claimed ignorance of Firerose's past, including her alleged felony residential burglary charge. Cyrus accused Firerose of trying to take over his career and usurp the Cyrus name for her gain.

"That’s before I knew her parents last name. I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary. I saw before my very own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a lie. She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain."

He ended his statement with a defiant, "See you in court," which he also posted on his Instagram Story.

The recording features an intense exchange between the former couple about Cyrus' departure for a presumed gig. "It's 9:15, you idiot. I needed to leave two hours ago," Cyrus is heard saying. Firerose counters, "No, you didn't. You can still leave and get there in time," which escalates the argument further.

Cyrus continues his tirade, telling Firerose, "Get the f**k out of here. I'm not going. I'm not in no place to go do a show. I had to go when I was ready to go," Cyrus continued. "If you could just shut the f**k up."

"Please stop screaming at me," Firerose said in return.

Cyrus' outburst intensifies, "If you would have left it alone when I told you. It's done. Now I'm really f*****g pissed. You once again showed me you will not listen. I don't know who the f**k you think you are, but you will not f*****g listen. And this ain't about your BRCA [gene]. This ain't about your surgery. This ain't about nothing. This is about you being a f*****g selfish b***h. I don't think you're real smart. I've changed my damn mind on that s**t. What you are is a selfish f*****g b***h." 

"I'll tell you what," Cyrus continued. "That's what you are. You're a selfish a*s f*****g b***h. You cannot continue to walk all over me and think that I'm gonna go out in public with your dumba*s. And f*****g have you do this s**t anywhere you want. In front of whoever."

"Are you referring to you screaming at me right now?" Firerose asked.

"This would not be happening if you would have just shut your f*****g moth. Look what a f*****g mess you made. What a dumba*s thing to do. Now that's dumba*s cause you have to know I will not tolerate that s**t. You just f****d up," Cyrus said.

A source close to the situation alleges the surfaced audio has been edited, claiming it is a compilation of several conversations between Cyrus and Firerose. The source also asserts the conversations took place on the night of a Nicki Minaj concert, which Firerose allegedly did not want Cyrus to attend out of jealousy.

They further claim Cyrus locked himself in a cabin, and Firerose broke in, leading to a heated confrontation.
