Trump claims 'African American ladies, beautiful ladies' want DC-style crime crackdown in Chicago

I am in tears. Trump has listened to the people in Chicago. He said he will bring the National Guard into Chicago after they are finished in DC

WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump signaled that Chicago will likely be the next city targeted for a federal crime crackdown, saying “African-American ladies, beautiful ladies” are pleading with him to bring Washington-style policing to the Windy City.
Speaking from the Oval Office alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Vice President JD Vance, Trump praised his administration’s takeover of DC’s police force and the deployment of National Guard troops, claiming the operation had restored safety to the capital.
“The people in Chicago, Mr Vice President, are screaming for us to come,” Trump said. “They are wearing red hats, just like this one… African-American ladies, beautiful ladies are saying, ‘Please, President Trump, come to Chicago, please.’"

Chicago 'next' after Washington, New York may follow
Calling Chicago “a mess” with “an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent,” Donald Trump vowed to expand his federal push against violent crime.
“We’ll straighten that one out probably next. That will be our next one after this, and it won’t even be tough,” he said.
The president also named New York as another priority: “So I think Chicago will be our next, and then we will help with New York.” Vice President JD Vance agreed, saying residents are eager for federal intervention.

Trump credited the National Guard and the Metropolitan Police Department for an “incredible job,” insisting that federal control has made Washington “safe again.”
“Washington, DC is SAFE AGAIN! The crowds are coming back, the spirit is high… our DC National Guard and Police are doing a fantastic job,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
He also issued a direct warning to Mayor Muriel Bowser: “Stop giving false and highly inaccurate crime figures, or bad things will happen, including a complete and total Federal takeover of the City!”
Trump's national guard move draws praise
Supporters applauded Donald Trump’s plan to deploy the National Guard to Chicago, hailing it as decisive action to curb crime and restore order in major cities.
One user said, “Many Black people in DC are finally waking up & realizing they were lied to. I have family there who hates Trump but now they are reconsidering their beliefs.”

He looks straight at the residents and says you don’t have to live like this, and he shows them the one key they need is choosing the right officials. Federal seizure triggers protests, arrests rise
On August 11, President Donald Trump declared a “public safety emergency,” seizing control of the Metropolitan Police Department and appointing Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead operations. National Guard troops have been stationed at key intersections, while Immigration and Customs Enforcement checkpoints have sparked protests.

Demonstrators in Dupont Circle were surrounded by a National Guard Humvee as they chanted: “Danger! Danger! There’s a fascist in the White House!”
Trump said last week that his administration plans to extend the 30-day federal operation in Washington and draft a crime bill to reinforce it.
“We’re going to need a crime bill… it’s going to pertain initially to DC,” Trump said while announcing the 2025 Kennedy Center nominees. “We’re going to use [DC] as a very positive example… That’s going to serve as a beacon for New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and other places all over the country.”
