WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump claimed during a press conference on Monday, April 6, that God is with him as the war between the US and Iran continues.

Washington, along with Israel, launched a military operation against Tehran on February 28, which saw the killing of Ali Khamenei, the former Supreme Leader of Iran.

Trump says God supports US' actions but 'doesn't like what's happening'

Trump was asked by a reporter, “Do you believe God supports the United States’ actions in this war?” To which, the commander-in-chief replied, “I do, because God is good. God is good, and God wants to see people taken care of.”

Trump, however, also noted that “God doesn’t like what’s happening. I don’t like what’s happening. Everyone says I enjoy it — I don’t enjoy this…. I don’t like seeing people killed.”

Trump warns that if Iran does not make a deal 'all Hell will reign down on them'

Over the weekend, Trump posted several messages warning Tehran. In a Saturday post, he wrote, “Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out - 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!”

His Sunday post was more severe as he wrote, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F***** Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

Trump says US is prepared to take down whole of Iran

Trump reiterated the same message on Monday as he told reporters, “The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night. I hope I don't have to do it.”

The commander-in-chief further claimed that America has a plan “where every bridge in Iran will be decimated by 12 o'clock tomorrow night, where every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding, and never to be used again.”

“I mean, complete demolition — by 12 o'clock, and it'll happen over a period of four hours if we want it to. We don't want that to happen,” he added.

Trump claims Iranians want US to strike Tehran

Besides, during the press conference, Trump claimed that Iranians themselves want the US to attack their country as they’re fed up with the regime.

He asserted, “We’ve had numerous intercepts — ‘Please keep bombing’ — bombs that are dropping near their homes. ‘Please keep bombing. Do it."

“And these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding. And [when] we’re not hitting those areas they’re saying, ‘Please come back come back, come back!’” Trump added.
