PALM BEACH, FL: President Donald J Trump has launched a devastating final assault against Republican Representative Thomas Massie, explicitly branding him the "Worst Republican Congressman in History" just 48 hours before Kentucky’s primary election.

In a scathing statement published across social media on Sunday, May 17, the President urged voters in the state's 4th Congressional District to "vote the bum out" on Tuesday.

The aggressive intervention cements a complete collapse in relations between the White House and the independent conservative lawmaker.

The high-stakes primary has transformed into an unprecedented, $30 million proxy war for the soul of the Republican Party.

Massie, a libertarian-leaning anti-debt crusader first elected in 2012, has repeatedly infuriated the administration by using his position to obstruct key parts of the President's legislative agenda.

The long-brewing feud recently intensified after Massie voted against the administration's top priority, the marquee tax and spending package known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, citing severe concerns over its multi-trillion-dollar impact on the national debt and domestic inflation.

President exposes lengthy legislative resistance

Trump's message detailed a long list of grievances against the veteran incumbent, framing Massie’s policy positions as a direct threat to core conservative objectives.

The President highlighted Massie's legislative record of voting against the border wall, the military, and domestic law enforcement.

"Bad Congressman Tom Massie voted against Tax Cuts, the Border Wall, our Military and Law Enforcement," Trump stated, summarizing a pattern of opposition that has isolated the congressman from party leadership.

The executive denunciation directly targets Massie's strict ideological adherence to fiscal restraint and non-interventionism. Trump asserted that the Kentucky representative has consistently "voted against almost everything that is good," portraying his congressional tenure as entirely counterproductive.

The President warned that the party could no longer tolerate the internal resistance heading into the crucial midterm cycle, declaring, "We can't live with this troublemaker for another two years."

Endorsed challenger leads sparse primary polling

The President’s public offensive is designed to maximize momentum for his hand-picked challenger, Ed Gallrein, a retired US Navy SEAL and fifth-generation farmer.

Trump formally endorsed Gallrein last October, explicitly framing the retired commander as a loyal alternative who would stand shoulder to shoulder with the administration.

The race has drawn over $30 million in satellite spending from outside groups, with major pro-Israel donor organizations saturating the regional airwaves with aggressive ad campaigns blasting the incumbent.

The multi-million dollar blitz appears to have fundamentally shifted the electoral landscape in Kentucky’s 4th district. Sparse polling conducted by Quantus Insights between May 11 and May 12 shows Gallrein leading Massie by 8 percentage points, a dramatic reversal from April when the incumbent maintained a 9-point advantage.

Trump capitalized on these numbers to deliver his final, urgent appeal to the electorate, describing Massie as a "true negative force" whose obstructionist brand must be permanently removed from the federal government.
