WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump, in the early hours of Sunday, May 17, strongly criticized Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie in a statement, calling him "the worst and most unreliable Republican Congressman in the history of our Country," as he urged voters to replace him in the upcoming primary election slated for Tuesday, May 19.

In his statement, President Trump contrasted the Kentucky lawmaker with other congressional figures, expressing strong disapproval of his legislative track record.

Trump stated that "Tom Massie of Kentucky, the worst and most unreliable Congressman in the history of our Country, is an even bigger insult to our Nation than Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, who suffered an unprecedented loss tonight by not even being allowed to run in the Republican Primary."

Trump linked these political outcomes to past congressional actions, noting that this outcome is "what you get by voting to Impeach an innocent man, especially one who made it possible for Bill Cassidy’s Senate win."

Further comparing the two lawmakers, Trump added that while Cassidy was "very disloyal, but Tom Massie, a major Sleazebag, is even worse!"
