WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Thursday, July 24, to show support for Tesla CEO Elon Musk and "all businesses within our Country" in a startling development given the duo's bitter public feud.

The MAGA leader and the tech billionaire had a public feud last month, following Musk's departure from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The two took a jab at each other in a social media battle as Musk repeatedly criticized Trump's "big, beautiful bill".

Donald Trump denies claims he will 'destroy' Elon Musk's companies

Donald Trump wrote in his post, "Everyone is stating that I will destroy Elon's companies by taking away some, if not all, of the large scale subsidies he receives from the U.S. Government."

"This is not so! I want Elon, and all businesses within our Country, to THRIVE, in fact, THRIVE like never before! The better they do, the better the USA does, and that's good for all of us. We are setting records every day, and I want to keep it that way!" the POTUS added.

Interestingly, earlier in July, Trump had threatened to cut off billions of dollars in subsidies that Musk's companies receive from the federal government.

Trump's social media post wasn’t enough to help Tesla’s stock, which fell drastically after the company reported another quarter of lacklustre financial results.

Moreover, Musk also warned of some potentially "rough quarters" into next year. The stock was around 9 percent at midday on Thursday.

Meanwhile, late on Wednesday, Tesla revealed that revenue fell 12 percent and profit dropped 16 percent in the April-June quarter.

Musk’s foray into politics has turned off many prospective buyers, and the competition has gone up in key markets such as Europe and China.

After the passage of Trump’s massive budget bill earlier in July, Musk's EV company faces the loss of the $7,500 EV tax credit. It also stands to make much less money from selling regulatory credits to other automakers.

Internet agrees with Donald Trump as he shows support for Elon Musk and his companies

Several internet users agreed with Donald Trump's message as he showed support for Tesla CEO Elon Musk and "all businesses within our Country" after threatening to cut off billions of dollars in subsidies that Musk's companies receive from the federal government.

A user wrote on X, "Exactly we all want businesses in America to grow and be prosperous," while one added, "Great news to hear Mr President."

A person stated, "Let bygones be bygones and reunite as one," whereas one mentioned, "Trump is like a father figure to Elon, in the area of politics. Elon is becoming a prodigious son, but ties with the father can not be shivered."

A supporter urged, "Pls Mr President don’t engage in posting wars with Elon…our Country needs you two to have a peace," while one more tweeted, "You are a good man and your faithful citizens know it."

In support of Trump's message, an individual wrote, "America relies on Elon Musk's companies. These companies drive innovation and economic growth, benefiting the nation. As global leaders, they set the standard for excellence. Undermining these companies would harm America’s interests specially in time of changes."
