MANHATTAN< NEW YORK CITY: On the April 3 episode of the 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Jimmy Fallon couldn't resist poking fun at Donald Trump, seizing the opportunity as one might expect.

He targeted the former president's recent insistence that he would debate President Joe Biden "anytime, anywhere, anyplace". 



 

Fallon lampoons Trump's persistent debate challenge to Biden

Opening with a 'News Smash' segment, Fallon transitioned into the political arena, quipping, "Some more political news. Last night, Trump held a rally in Wisconsin, and to taunt President Biden for not committing to a debate, Trump had an empty podium on the stage that said, 'Anytime, anywhere, anyplace'."

Fallon then proceeded to playfully imagine a humorous exchange between the two political rivals, satirizing Trump's podium and sign on the stage, seemingly pleading for Biden to engage in a debate.

"Yup, Trump said he’ll debate anytime, anywhere, anyplace — Biden was like, 'Tell me you’re unemployed without telling me you’re unemployed,'" Fallon joked, capturing the essence of Trump's persistent debate challenge.

Switching to his Trump impersonation, Fallon quipped, "My schedule’s wide open!"

He then teased how the empty podium might have caused worry for Trump's team, saying, "At first his campaign staff was laughing, but after Trump debated the podium for 30 minutes, they’re like, 'Oh boy, it might be time for another cognitive test.'"

Fallon concluded his Trump-themed monologue by alluding to the former president's ongoing legal and financial troubles, humorously stating, "Meanwhile, Trump is so broke he sold the podium for $5,000."

Fallon's debate jab leaves Internet hysterical

Social media erupted with laughter in response to Fallon's statements. 

"At this point trump believe that debate is what you put on a fishing hook," one person said.
