MOUNT POCONO, PENNSYLVANIA: President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk have maintained an on-and-off working relationship that has often drawn attention on social media and in the press.

In a recent interview, Musk called Trump the “funniest person” in real life. At a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump returned the compliment, praising Musk’s sense of humor.

Musk also referenced the topic during a recent Oval Office meeting between President Trump and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, addressing a “fascist” comment Trump made during the discussion.

Trump praised Tesla CEO during a Pennsylvania rally, saying, “We ALL love Elon! Elon was up here campaigning.” He also talked about electric cars during his remarks. Trump’s comments came shortly after Musk praised him in a recent interview.

During the interview with 'Katie Miller Podcast', Musk was asked, “Who's the funniest person you know in real life?” Elon responded, “President Trump is very funny. He's got a great sense of humor. It's naturally funny, somewhat effortless. When they asked someone if they still thought the president was fascist, Trump said 'just say yes, it's easier that way. Don't worry about it.”

Donald Trump and Elon Musk reunite at Charlie Kirk memorial

Months after a very public rift, Trump and Musk reunited at a memorial service for right-wing leader Charlie Kirk. The two were seen sitting side by side in the stands of a stadium filled with tens of thousands paying tribute to Kirk, who was shot dead on September 10 at a Utah university campus.

Videos from the event showed Trump and Musk chatting amicably, marking their first public encounter since Musk resigned from his role as a special government employee in the so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” under tense circumstances.

The appearance signals a potential thaw in their previously strained relationship. The White House shared a photo of the pair in conversation on X, the social media platform owned by Musk.

Donald Trump responds to 'fascist' label during meeting with NYC mayor-elect

During a meeting with New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, Trump struck a surprising tone. He said he would be “okay” if Mamdani continued to call him a “fascist,” a label Mamdani had used previously during campaign rallies, CNN reported.

When a reporter asked Mamdani whether he still stood by that characterization, the mayor-elect began, “I've spoken about it...,” but Trump quickly interjected. Earlier,  Trump described his meeting with Mamdani at the Oval Office as "great" and "very productive."
