WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump took to the social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, November 29, to discuss the falling healthcare prices.

Citing the falling prices of medicines, he called himself the “affordability president,” claiming that no other president had been able to bring down prices as he had.

Donald Trump says prices are falling at levels 'never seen before'

President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that because he had invoked "Favored Nations" status of the United States of America, "drug prices" were falling at “levels never seen before.”

“500%, 600%, 700%, and more,” he added.

Trump further claimed that he was the first president who had been able to do that and noted that the falling prices were the answer to a “much less expensive” and far better healthcare.

While speaking to those with a similar political ideology, he told the Republicans to remember that they had done it.

“This is a revolution in medicine,” and he termed it the “biggest and most important event ever.” Trump further said that if the story was told correctly, they would win the Midterm Elections with “record numbers.”

Calling himself the “affordability president,” he urged Republicans to “talk loudly and proudly.”

RKF Jr claims that Trump told them 'to stop at nothing'

Donald Trump’s online post came days after the Secretary of Health and Human Services, RFK Jr, issued a statement about lowering health care costs for the nation.

At the time, he said that Trump had “directed them to stop at nothing” to lower the costs and that they were working to make America “healthy again.”

“We will use every tool at our disposal to deliver affordable health care to seniors,” he said.

After months of negotiations with the Trump administration, pharmaceutical companies had reportedly agreed to slash prices for 15 medicines, including Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Trelegy Ellipta, Otezla, and more.

The director of care research at Veda Partners also commented on the negotiations between the government and the companies.

He said that the improved outcomes were possibly due to the types of medicines being negotiated, along with the lessons learned from the previous conversations.
