SAGINAW, MICHIGAN: Former president Donald Trump's teleprompter failed during his rally in Michigan, causing him to veer off into a ramble after losing track of his speech.

The teleprompter stopped working while the GOP presidential nominee was ripping his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, in his rally speech in Saginaw on Thursday, October 3, as per Raw Story.

"She did so many different things, so many deadly things," Trump said of the VP. "We're at a point in our country's life that I think is — I think it's the most important election in the history of our country."

Donald Trump deviates from speech after teleprompters stops working

As Donald Trump prepared to tell a funny story to the crowd, the teleprompter in front of him stopped working, prompting him to abruptly halt the prepared speech.

"The teleprompter just went out!" the real estate mogul said, raising his voice.

Though he indicated he mostly does the speeches without the device's help, the words that followed had no connection to what he was talking about earlier.

"Isn't it nice to have somebody that doesn't need a teleprompter? You know, it's very dangerous. You got to be careful. You know, teleprompters will often go out," he said.

The MAGA leader added only a "certain type of person" could manage a speech when teleprompters fail.

Claiming that the teleprompters had stopped working several times in the past, Trump started to fill in his speech by mentioning the winds.

The ex-president recalled his campaign rally in Ohio for GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno and how the device blew like flags in the 45-mile-an-hour winds.

"I was in Ohio for Bernie Moreno, and it was 45-mile-an-hour winds. These things were blowing like flags. You felt like a drunken sailor in all due respect."

Donald Trump's dislike of teleprompters

Donald Trump, in the past, has voiced a lack of fondness for teleprompters, especially when they stop working mid-speech.

For instance, in June, he slammed teleprompter operators due to technical issues during a rally, according to The Hill.

Arguing he never used the device, Trump said that although he paid money to the operators, the device did not work 20% of the time.

Last month, he drew backlash on social media over his self-praising that he did not use a teleprompter during his speech in Georgia. However, his assertions were soon dismissed after many internet sleuths pointed out the two teleprompters kept on both sides of his podium.

Internet mocks Donald Trump over his rant after teleprompter goes off

Donald Trump's rambling session after the teleprompter failure at the Michigan rally sparked mockery as netizens said he might start speaking about Hannibal Lecter and windmills.

"OMG he sounds like the illiterate idiot he is," a user wrote.

"So, let’s move on to the windmills and Hannibal Lecter portion of the show," another quipped.

"He must’ve been reading off of it to notice it stopped working… What a genius," added a third user.

"He doesn't need one because he just rambles on...and on...and on...." an individual said.

"Waiting for HBO to offer Don the Old Con Comedy Hour a gig," read a fifth response.

"Gives the same speech for four years and still needs the teleprompter," another user joked.

"Oh boy. Get ready for 45 minutes of electrocuted sharks and windmills," someone else said.

"Apparently, he doesn't need his brains either," one user added.

"He's now lost and has to revert back to his 3rd grade level of thinking," read another remark.
