Trump remembers Chuck Norris in touching tribute: 'A really tough cookie'

WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump reacted to the death of actor and martial artist Chuck Norris. The President called him a “tough cookie” and said he was a truly great person. Norris, a legendary Hollywood actor and martial artist known for playing unstoppable heroes and inspiring countless jokes about his strength, has died at the age of 86. 

His family confirmed in a social media post, “We would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.” In addition, Trump was asked about the ongoing conflict with Iran and his future plans.

Trump reacts to Chuck Norris’ death 

Trump was informed that actor and martial artist Chuck Norris had passed away. He appeared surprised and taken aback by the news. Responding in the moment, he said, “Oh, he died,” before continuing, “I tell you he was a good guy.”

He paused briefly and reacted with disbelief, saying “wow,” as the news sank. He then added, “He was a great guy. He was a really good, tough cookie.” His tone suggested genuine shock as he reflected on Norris’ reputation and personality.

Still processing the loss, he said, “You didn’t want to fight him... tell his family, highest respect. Great man.” He also described the news as “too bad,” making it clear he was saddened by the passing.

Chuck Norris dies

Norris, the martial artist who became a Hollywood icon. His family shared that he passed away on Thursday, March 19, in Hawaii, with his loved ones by his side.  In a heartfelt message, they said, “It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning.”

They also added, “While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.” Remembering him both as a public figure and a family man, they wrote, “To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and the heart of our family.”

The family also acknowledged the support they received during his recent health struggles. “We know many of you had heard about his recent hospitalization, and we are truly grateful for the prayers and support you sent his way.”
