Trump says Democrat-ensued ‘chaos’ led to deaths of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to rebuke Democratic leaders, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, demanding they work with his administration to quickly deport all criminal undocumented immigrants on Sunday, January 25. He also warned them not to embolden activists who, he says, are unlawfully disrupting ICE and Border Patrol operations.
Trump’s post came amid a fierce national backlash over the recent fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good by federal immigration officers. These incidents have sparked widespread outrage and intensified debate over the role of federal agents in Minneapolis in the days since the first shooting on January 7 and the latest on Saturday.

Trump slams Democrats’ 'failed leadership'
Trump shared two lengthy posts after the second fatal shooting in Minneapolis, blaming what he called Democratic-driven chaos for the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
In the first post, he criticized former President Joe Biden’s "failed leadership," accusing his administration of allowing tens of millions of illegal immigrants with criminal records into the country, including "hundreds of thousands of convicted murderers, ra***ts, kidnappers, d**g dealers, and te**orists."
He added, “I won the election in a historic landslide, and Republicans won majorities in both the House and Senate in large part, because we pledged to SEAL THE BORDER, which we have done, and launch the largest Mass Deportation of Illegal Alien Criminals in American History."
Trump further explained, "This Deportation effort is underway, and in Republican run Cities and States, these operations are going peacefully and smoothly, because Local Law Enforcement Officers are allowed to work with their Federal counterparts. For example, in the five Republican run States of Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Louisiana, ICE has arrested 150,245 Criminal Illegal Aliens over the past year — with ZERO protests, riots, or chaos. Why? Because Local Police and ICE are cooperating and working together."
The Republican leader wrote that “Democrat-run Sanctuary Cities and States are REFUSING to cooperate with ICE, and they are actually encouraging Leftwing Agitators to unlawfully obstruct their operations to arrest the Worst of the Worst People!”
He added that "by doing this, Democrats are putting Illegal Alien Criminals over Taxpaying, Law-Abiding Citizens, and they have created dangerous circumstances for EVERYONE involved."
Trump concluded by saying that “tragically, two American citizens have lost their lives as a result of this Democrat-ensued chaos.”
Trump calls on Democrats to work with immigration agents
Trump then urged Democrats to follow a multi-step plan to work with immigration agents in a separate post.
“I am hereby calling on Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and EVERY Democrat Governor and Mayor in the United States of America to formally cooperate with the Trump Administration to enforce our Nation’s Laws, rather than resist and stoke the flames of Division, Chaos, and Violence,” Trump said at the start of his Truth Social post.
He then shared four steps he said they should follow. The first step, "Governor Walz and Mayor Frey should turn over all Criminal Illegal Aliens that are currently incarcerated in their State Prisons and Jails to Federal Authorities, along with all Illegal Criminals with an active warrant or known Criminal History, for Immediate Deportation."
The second step, "State and Local Law Enforcement must agree to turn over all Illegal Aliens arrested by Local Police."
The third step, "Local Police must assist Federal Law Enforcement in apprehending and detaining Illegal Aliens who are wanted for Crimes."
The commander-in-chief then revealed the fourth step, "Democrat Politicians must partner with the Federal Government to protect American Citizens in the rapid removal of all Criminal Illegal Aliens in our Country. Some Democrats, in places like Memphis, Tennessee, or Washington, D.C., have done so, resulting in safer streets for ALL."
Trump added that he wants Congress to immediately pass legislation ending sanctuary city policies, which he called the “root cause” of all the fighting over illegal immigration. He assured that the Trump administration is ready and waiting for any Democrat willing to do the right thing.
