WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump said on Monday, November 17, that he "knew I was going to win" the 2024 Presidential election after getting a positive response during his McDonald's fry cook stunt in 2024.

During his appearance at the McDonald's summit, Trump discussed his campaign stop at the fast-food chain, where he stood in for the fry cook at the restaurant.

Donald Trump says he knew he would win as 'the response was love'

Trump said during the Summit, "I did the french fries and did some other things, I then stood at the window and the people would drive up a little board. In all fairness, you know, it is. I mean, they're waiting for a hamburger. So they drive up like this, they look over, well, every one of them. And it was it was fascinating."

He added, "Every one of them, they were it was the response was incredible. Almost like I knew I was going to win. When I saw that, I knew because the response was love."

"Some did a double take some what like that. Well, but it was, it was sort of an amazing moment," Trump also said.

Donald Trump reveals he almost served McDonald’s on campaign jet

During the Summit, President Trump said that he was such a fan of their food that he almost exclusively served McDonald's on his campaign jet.

He described himself as one of the chain's "all-time, most loyal customers" and said that before he was elected and began flying on Air Force One, his own campaign plane would serve "only McDonald’s almost every time".

He said, "You fed us very well."

Meanwhile, Robert F Kennedy Jr later described Trump's eating habits on the campaign trail as "really bad".

"The stuff that he eats is really, like, bad. The food that goes onto that airplane is like just poison. You have a choice between—you don't have the choice—you're either given KFC or Big Macs. That's when you're lucky and then the rest of the stuff I consider kind of inedible", RFK Jr said on The Joe Polish Show in 2024.

Donald Trump announces prices at McDonald’s are dropping

Donald Trump said during the Monday Summit that McDonald's executives had informed him that the prices at McDonald's were falling.

"Your chief executive, and your chairman, and everyone else, they tell me prices at McDonald's are coming down," the POTUS said.

He added, "Unfortunately, they were so high in the last administration that people aren't that happy because they were so high. So even though it's coming down, and coming down a lot, they want to see where it was, like when I was president."

In 2024, McDonald's sparked outrage after customers shared their experiences of being charged nearly $20 for a single Big Mac meal combo, accusing the brand of overcharging.

Meanwhile, Trump added that his administration would help McDonald's to return to a more affordable menu.
