WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump shared that Iran’s new Supreme Leader is off to a "bad" start if rumors that he is gay are true. Earlier this month, reports suggested that the clerics’ choice to succeed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei may be gay.

During an appearance on Fox News' 'The Five,' Co-host Jesse Watters asked Trump, “To suggest that we knocked out Ayatollah Jr. Have we and the CIA told you that Ayatollah Junior's gay?"

Trump replied by phone, “Well, they did say that, but I don’t know—it was only them. I think a lot of people are saying that, which puts them off to a bad start in that particular country, you know.”

He continued, “I sort of have to smile to myself when I see people defending the Palestinian regime for women, but they kill women."

Trump added, “If you don’t wear certain clothing over your face, you have no chance of living. And when I look at gays for Palestine, they kill gays. They throw them off buildings instantly. and I'm saying, who are the gays for Pellissippi, and they have a significant amount of gays for Palestine”

He also discussed US politics: “The United States did very well with the gay vote. I even played the national anthem as my walk-off, which I think helped me. No Republican has ever gotten the gay vote like I did, and I’m very proud of it. I think it's great."

On the topic of Palestine, he concluded, “Perhaps it's because I'm from New York City, I don't know, but the gay national anthem was my walk off, and I think it probably had. But think of it. Gaze for Palestine, but they killed gays in Palestine, so when they hear that, I think probably we can talk about it, but it shouldn't be too hard..”

Trump declares: ‘I hate Fox polls’

During a long interview on Fox News’s The Five, President Trump also made strong claims about how popular he is. He had just extended the deadline for talks with Iran in a Truth Social post. He said a recent CNN poll showed he had 100 per cent approval among the ‘MAGA’ group and that his movement speaks for the whole Republican Party.

He criticized Fox News polls, saying, “I hate Fox polls. Honestly, whoever does your polls are terrible. Rupert Murdoch has promised me for years he's going to get rid of your pollster, but he doesn't do it. I don't get it, but your Fox polls are terrible.”

Trump then said that other pollsters show him “leading by a lot and leading every candidate” in a possible 2028 presidential race, though he admitted he cannot legally run for a third term. “I would love to run — some things you can't do in life, I guess ... but we're very popular,” he added.

The interview jumped across topics, but Trump returned to the CNN poll, which showed him with full support among the MAGA faction. He also claimed the US doesn’t need the Strait of Hormuz to reopen because the country is a net oil exporter. “We don’t need it, but I think I’m more popular than ever,” he said.
