WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump emphasized that the strength of the US military is unmatched and talked about Iran and future attacks.
On Friday, April 3, he posted on Truth Social about US actions and what can happen next. This came shortly after a primetime address at the White House on Tuesday, April 1, where he spoke about the possibility of striking Iran within the next two to three weeks.
The remarks sparked widespread discussion and concern. Some Democrats criticized his roughly 20-minute address on Iran. During the same address, Trump also suggested that countries facing fuel shortages could purchase oil from the US.
Trump raises stakes in Iran, points to possible Infrastructure targets
Trump stated that the US military has not yet fully begun its actions in Iran and indicated that further strikes on key infrastructure could follow. He emphasized the strength of the armed forces and suggested that more significant actions may still be ahead.
In a social media post, Trump said, “Our Military, the greatest and most powerful (by far!) anywhere in the World, hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran.” He further added, “Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants! New Regime leadership knows what has to be done, and has to be done, FAST! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”
The remarks have drawn attention and sparked discussion, as they signal a potential escalation and highlight the ongoing tensions surrounding the situation. The Iran war has now reached its fifth week since the first US-led strike against Iran took place on February 28.
Trump says US will 'finish the job' in Iran campaign
On Wednesday, Trump addressed the nation in a prime-time speech about the situation in the Middle East. This came after recent US-Israeli strikes in Iran, which reportedly led to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and other key figures.
While giving an update on 'Operation Epic Fury', Trump said Iran’s military has been severely weakened. He claimed their navy is “gone” and their air force is in ruins. He also said several top Iranian leaders are “now dead,” and that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps is being weakened.

Trump did not mention NATO, even though he had earlier talked about possibly leaving the alliance. He has also expressed frustration with allies over the Strait of Hormuz situation.
He did not provide a timeline for the end of the conflict but said US forces will “finish the job” once key goals are close to completion. Trump also said the US has enough oil and does not depend on the Strait of Hormuz.
