Trump shares Franklin Graham’s salvation roadmap, calls faith the ‘peacemaker’
WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump on Sunday, March 29, shared a letter from evangelical leader Franklin Graham, marking Palm Sunday with a public reflection on faith amid ongoing political and international developments.
The letter, originally dated October 15, 2025, was posted by the President on social media and outlines Graham’s perspective on Christian belief and salvation.
The release comes as Washington continues to face a legislative impasse over Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding and as US military operations in the Middle East remain active.
The timing of the post drew attention to the President’s engagement with religious leaders during a period of heightened national focus on both domestic and foreign policy issues.

In the letter, Graham referenced the President’s previous involvement in Middle East diplomacy, including a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas and the return of hostages.
Citing a biblical passage, Graham wrote, “Jesus said, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers’ (Matthew 5:9) - and Mr. President, that is what you are.”
The letter highlights earlier diplomatic efforts that took place prior to the current conflict involving Iran, which escalated in February 2026.
Administration officials have since indicated that military operations remain ongoing, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio stating that the campaign could conclude within weeks.
Theological Roadmap to Eternal Life
A significant portion of the letter focuses on Christian theology, with Graham outlining beliefs related to salvation and eternal life.
He wrote that salvation is not based on personal achievements but on faith in Jesus Christ, referencing biblical teachings to explain this position.
“The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ,” Graham stated in the letter, adding that belief in the resurrection and acceptance of faith are central to Christian doctrine. He cited Romans 10:9 as a scriptural basis for this explanation.
Prayer Amidst a Global Crisis
The letter concludes with Graham expressing personal support and stating that he continues to pray for the President.
The message reflects an ongoing relationship between the administration and evangelical leaders, who have remained an active constituency within the President’s political base.
The release coincides with multiple developments, including continued debate in Congress over DHS funding and the presence of US military assets in the Middle East.
It also comes as public demonstrations continue in several US cities related to broader political and policy concerns.
