WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took a dig at former Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 24, and dubbed her "dumb as a rock" for claiming the 2024 election was the "closest" of the 21st century. The POTUS also demanded an apology.

Trump’s jab comes a few days after Harris said on MSNBC she had lost the "closest presidential election in the 21st Century" last year. Moreover, Host Rachel Maddow declined to push back on her claim while sitting across from Harris.

Trump says everyone knows Kamala Harris' statement 'is a lie'

President Trump took to Truth Social and said, "everyone knows this is a lie", yet the former VP continues to push the claim as part of her recent book tour.

The POTUS wrote in his post, "Kamala Harris, who is DUMB AS A ROCK, is going around and using, as a standard part of her Speech on why she lost the Election, that 2024 was the “closest Presidential Election in the 21st Century.” Everyone knows this is a lie, and was covered as such by Fox News!"

"I won the Electoral College, 312-226, a LANDSLIDE, Counties Nationwide, 2,600 to 525, a LANDSLIDE, all seven Swing States, a LANDSLIDE, and, despite the fact that California’s Fake Mail In Ballots came in at ridiculous numbers (It was RIGGED!), I still won the Popular Vote by MILLIONS!" he added.

Trump further mentioned, "Bush, as an example, won the Election by 537 Votes, and many other Elections were very close. Kamala’s 'closest in the 21st Century' soundbite was, like everything else in the Democrat Party, A TOTAL LIE! I expect an apology. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

President Trump beat Harris in the electoral college in 2024, 312-226, which was the widest margin this century beyond Barack Obama’s two presidential victories in 2008 and 2012.

Kamala Harris blames 2024 loss to Trump on lack of time to campaign

Kamala Harris said that one of the biggest reasons she lost the 2024 election to Donald Trump was the lack of time to mount a campaign.

During an appearance on 'The View' on Tuesday, September 23, the former VP said, "There are many factors, I think, that played into the outcome of that election. But I think probably one of the biggest, in my mind, is we just didn’t have enough time."

Interestingly, Harris' new memoir, '107 Days', a reference to the length of her campaign after former President Joe Biden dropped out, explains the difficulties of taking on Trump in such a short window.

She said, "Biden decides not to run. The sitting vice president then takes the mantle, running against a former president of the United States who had been running for ten years, with 107 days until the election."

Internet slams Kamala Harris

Several internet users sided with Donald Trump and slammed Kamala Harris for saying the 2024 Presidential election was the "closest" of the 21st century.

A user wrote on X, "It's an accurate assessment, if defamatory to rocks," while one added, "We know… and so do they. Lying for them is kinda like Lays potato chips.. can’t stop at just one."

A person also stated, "Dumber than a box of rocks and frankly, that’s an insult to the rock family," whereas one mentioned, "Pet rocks are not happy with the comparison."

A user also wrote, "My pet rock from the '80s is smarter than her," while one commented, "No lies detected. The President is spot on."

A person also mentioned, "I love President Trump!!! He is so direct!!! That is what I voted for!!"
